5 children were walking alone on a deserted road. Where they were going not many people know, the leader girl, Emily flowers walked in front of the group, keeping an eye out for the zombies - yes, zombies those hellish creatures are real, way too real. At the back was Logan Hoffman, the second in command. To the left side was Scarlett, also known as Lexi and on the other side was Ayden and in the middle was Eli, the smallest one of all he was only 8 after all. What were a group of 5 children all around fourteen (Besides an 8 year old), doing out in the middle of a road, an abandoned road, none the less? Well this gets quiet gruesome, their last home; Rose's supermarket had run out of food, they had stretched their food supply out as much as possible but in the end they still ran out of food.
Now they need not dwell on those facts; after all they had to find a new place to live, yet they had not come to one house that could serve as their shelter. Maybe if they kept pushing on they would find something. Eli the little boy looked ahead at the back of Emily's legs, but all the while he was fighting with his own feet to keep walking. After a few more seconds of walking the little boy could take no more. "Emily."He said in a soft whisper. "Emily. . .I need to take a break."Eli finished looking to see Emily had stopped walking and turned around. She had knelt down and was smiling at little Eli. "Don't you worry; we'll stop for the night soon."She said in a soft gentle voice that she reserved just for little Eli, after all - Eli was her younger step brother.
Five or ten minutes later they all came to a stop in front of a large house. Normally Emily would not stop in places like this but, Eli really needed some rest. "Logan, Ayden, and Scarlett, please go investigate, clear out any zombies you can find."Emily commanded. The three complied and disappeared into the building leaving Emily and Eli alone outside. Eil looked exhausted and Emily looked alert, watching everywhere, there was no telling what would happen when there were only two of them.
A few seconds later all three came back they looked all hot and sweaty. "We have a problem. . ."Scarlett said.
