Chapter 8

Over the last few days everyone has bonded very well with Scarlet. Edward and her have gotten closer as mates even sharing the same bed. Only for sleeping though as they are both not ready for anything else as of yet. Rose and Alice see Scarlet as a new little sister since she is only sixteen and the girls were changed at eighteen and seventeen. Jasper and Emmett are the protective older brothers, happy to have a little sister to teach things to. Scarlet has even claimed Carlisle and I as her parents. Carlisle loves having her as a daughter, she loves learning about the medical field. She even shadows her father when I let her. Kaia loves having her as a big sister, they read and play games together all the time. As for me and Scarlet I haven been helping her with her magic. She also loves to bake and cook with me. Edward has been the perfect gentleman, protective but not controlling. My daughter definitely knows how to put him in his place if he over steps. Over all our new member has blended in fabulously and no one feels like they have been left out. Now though it is back to school and work...hopefully everything goes okay.

"Scarlet honey can you and your sister set the table for me please," I ask

"Sure mum," she says to me then turns to Kaia, "you take the forks and knives I got the plates and cups."

Nodding excitedly Kaia takes the silverware from her sister and goes to the dining room. Twisting her hand Scarlet makes the cups float by her head as she walks after Kaia carrying the plates. Just as they finished setting the table I place down the food with the help of my own powers. Ever since Scarlet and Kaia came we have all been more open about using our powers, in the house at least.

"Go make sure the others are almost ready please."

They nod and rush off, using my heightened sight and speed I go through all of the children's backpacks and my husband's briefcase to make sure all homework and paperwork is done. I also put all their lunches in their bags, today is chicken strips with fries and cheesecake squares for desert. Since everyone now knows Kaia as my daughter and the childrens sibling I will be letting her go with her siblings to their lessons if she wishes. Yesterday I called the school to enroll Scarlet and make sure she had all the same classes as Edward and some with the others as well.

"Morning mom," says Jasper and Emmett as they come in.

"Morning boys breakfast is on the table."

"Morning mamma," says Alice and Rose

"Morning girls everything is set up go on."

"Morning love/mum/mommy," says Carlisle Edward Scarlet and Kaia as they come in

We all go in and join the others for a quick breakfast telling plans for the week and what might happen. After cleaning up together we all collect our stuff and rush out to the cars. Rose and Emmett take the jeep. Alice and Jasper take my lambo. Edward, Scarlet, Kaia and I take the truck. At both Scarlets and Kaia's insistentence. We all pull up and park within moments of each other. I stand with my children Kaia in my arms talking for a little while.

"Kaia do you wish to stay with your siblings or me today," I ask her

"I want to go with Emmy."

Emmett happily takes her in his arms. I smile at the pair before turning toward Edward and Scarlet to follow me. We get to the office and I hand her the schedule. They compare and smile up at me realizing they have the same schedule. I go off to my class and organize my papers. Classes pass by quickly and finally it is lunch time. Looking over the classroom I notice a lunch box has been left on a desk. Going over I see it is Jaspers.

As I walk toward the lunch room I see a group of students outside the cafe doors. Frowning I realize it is Isabella and she has cornered Alice and Scarlet. Getting closer I hear what the deranged girl is saying.

"Why was Edward walking around with this little bitch today? And why the hell did she show up with you all. Edward is mine and not your you little bitch," she sneers

"My son is not property Isabella. You are no longer his girlfriend and I suggest you leave my daughters alone," I say in a sharp cold tone.

She turns to me a glare prominent on her face, but I can see the hint of fear in her eyes.

"Oh yeah and what are you going to do about it. Your nothing but a slut."

"One I am going to get the principal to expel you for threatening and bullying my daughters. Next I am going to make your little incident in Phoenix public knowledge. And if you don't back off and leave my family alone I will get a restraining order put on you and talk your father into sending you back to your mother."

She gets a scared look as she starts to stutter

"You can't do that," she says in a shaky voice

"Your father gave me your old records school and otherwise. The principal is a close friend of mine as is your father and they highly value my opinion. As for making your incident public knowledge, that well...that will be easy. Now leave my family alone."

She stomps off in a huff. I read her mind and know that if I don't do something soon she will only cause more problems. With a soft sigh I motion the girls to go into the cafe. I follow them and see all my children sitting at their table. I put Jasper's lunch in front of him and he smiles sheepishly at me. Kaia reaches out to me and I can tell she is tired. Saying a quick see you later to my other children we go back to my classroom. She lays under my desk with her stuffie and blanket quickly falling asleep. I locked the door and cast a silencing charm while calling my husband.

"What's wrong honey? You never call during work," he asks

"That Isabella girl is going to cause more problems than I originally thought."

"What happened?"

"She cornered Alice and Scarlet in the hallway threatening them and asking invasive questions, and calling them inappropriate names. When I confronted her she called me a bitch until I threatened her. Carlisle i'm thinking of talking to Charlie and having him send her back to her mother I don't feel safe with her around our children. Or I can just use my powers to make her forget all about her obsession with our son."

"We will go see Charlie together after work. I'll come pick you up. Do you still have the video from the party?"

"Yes it is on my phone."

"Good we will explain everything and show him that. Have one of the children take your car home."

I sigh and say a soft alight. We hang up and I got out of the office, locking the door behind me. Going into the cafe again I walk straight to my childrens table.

"Who wants to drive my truck home," I ask

Scarlet looks to Edward who nods his head quickly. I throw my second youngest daughter the keys. She smiles excitedly and looks over to her mate who is smiling fondly at her in return. I smile at all of them and head back to the room.
