Summers POV
"U guys we have to go NOW." i said
"Where we gon go and what we gon do" jaylon asked
"We have to stop at our houses first to get the supplies we need" i said
"w- what supplies?" Gardenia asked nervously
"Guns, extra food, medical stuff, shit like that" I said staying calm
"We can either travel as a group and go to my house first and stop at y'all houses after to get more stuff that we'll need or we can split up and go to our houses individually and meet back here, Cause at this point everyone has heard the news and is panicking." i said
We all looked at each other and made the decision of splitting up cause it would be faster that way but before we left I stepped up and spoke
"I'll steal a car for us and I have extra gas for it so we won't run out for a while" i said
We all nodded and headed off to our houses. I ran to my house cause I really believe that running is faster than walking ofc, I busted in my house and grabbed all the food, medical supplies (a lot of that),and some personal belongings and stuffed all of it in my duffle bag and headed out. On my way out the door I grabbed the extra gas from outside of my door and found an empty car on the side of the road.For some reason every one in my neighborhood left all of there extra keys under their front door mats. I found the key to the car and luckily the car was filled with gas. I put my stuff in the back seat and drove away to jaylons house. I didn't really think driving would be easy but surprisingly it was
Jaylons POV
I went in my house and started packing, I wanted to make sure my parents were ok but who am I kidding, they wouldn't care. But I still love them. So right before I left the house I grabbed a picture of my parents and me back when we were all happy together.From the corner of my eye I see some something falling off the shelf, it was my peanut plant that I haven't bothered to take care of, the pot had shattered and I'm tryna figure out wth it fell for. Out of no where one of those... THINGS sprinting towards me, I punched it and saw summer outside telling me to get in the car.I ran and put my bag in the back seat and got in the passenger seat.
"Drive NOW!" i said panicking
She sped off and went to go pick up gardenia.. Quick.
Gardenia POV
I grabbed all of the weapons I could find and all my dad's "special" guns. I grabbed food and personal belongings, I also grabbed my moms necklace that she gave to me for my 10th birthday. She said to take with me if I ever think I'm in danger.I ran outside looking around until I see summer coming with a car she stole. I ran and sat in the back seat where all of our bags were.
"I wanna see if our parents are still alive" summer said
"Are u crazy??" I said frightened
"I just wanna see" summer said
We drove down the road only to see people getting chased, shot, eaten, bit, and beat up.What hell are those things we all thought.
"I saw one of those "zombies" in my house before I left." Jaylon said
"Really?" Summer said
"Mhm, I punched and ran to the car." Jaylon said
I looked out of the window only to see my mom and summers mom bitten and laying on the side of the street. No..this cant be real !
I ran out of the car with summer behind me dodging all that was coming at us
I ran to my mom and started sobbing.
"Mom... just..y?" I cried some more
She took my hand
"Stay safe and..." she smirked, "stay hustling my lil gangster"
I Looked at her as she was about to turn and started crying some more, the longer we stayed there the more dangerous it was getting outside. She always said that to me but then i relaized that would be the last time
Summer grabbed me
"We have to go NOW." She said
I couldn't let go of my moms hand, she kept pulling me and tugging until I finally let go
"I love u mom." I thought as I was running to the car
