Rendezvous Part B

"Mama, I want brothers." Sumonto begged her. 

"And a sister too." RK interjected. 

"Will you keep quite?" she angrily asks RK. 

"What? I want a daughter." RK pouts. 

"But I want 2 brothers, first" Sumonto says as he put up two fingers in front of her face. 

Madhu looked at Sumonto helplessly, then at RK who was smiling cheekily. 

"Mama.. I want" Suddenly, she cut him off "I want ice-cream!" 

"Even me!" Sumonto says forgetting his demands for two brothers. 

"Sumonto, what about.." RK started with a frown, he was having too much fun at Madhu's expense. 

"We want ice-cream!" Madhu says angrily. RK gets a little scared seeing her angry expression "Okay!!! Whatever you say!" RK says. Madhu grins happily. 

RK takes Madhu and Sumonto to his penthouse so Sumonto could freshen up and change, as Madhu didn't want to go to their house before her marriage as it was considered apshagun for the girl to enter her sasural before marriage. 

RK, Madhu and Sumonto walk into the penthouse, Sumonto was so excited about Madhu being there and they going for ice-cream. He suddenly turned to Madhu in excitement and says "Mama, you tell me what to wear, okay?" "Okay, baby." Madhu replies back with a smile. 

"Why don't you go have your bath? Mama will come now." RK suggested. Sumonto nodded and ran off to their bedroom. RK turned to Madhu and asks her in a serious tone "Why did you lie to Sumonto?" 

"Lie?" Madhu asks confused. 

"About the movie." RK explained. 

"Oh that! I was a little scared that he might tell Sultan about we being alone here, and Sultan had strictly told me not to come here or go to your house... so I was a little scared." 

"If we tell Sumonto to keep it as a secret then he would surely keep it a secret." RK says a little offended. 

Madhu sensing that RK was upset over it, hastily says "I am sorry, RK. I didn't mean it in any wrong way. I am sorry." 

RK sigh "its okay. It's just that I have never lied to him. That's why." he says with a hesitant smile. 

"He can keep a secret, Madhu." RK says softly again. 

"RK, I am really sorry. Pls don't be angry with me." Madhu says sadly. 

"No, baby I am not angry with you." RK hastily says when he noticed that she was upset "It is just that I felt that I had to defend our son? that's why." 

Suddenly Madhu looks at him in shock hearing him. 

"What happened?" he asks her. 

"You said our son." Madhu says 

"Isn't he?" RK asks doubtfully. 

"Yes!" Madhu says with tears in her eyes. "Thank you, RK." 

"I should thank you for coming into our life Madhu." RK stated. Tears were slowly flowing from Madhu's eyes and she smiled happily at him. RK slowly wipes away her tears and holds her closer. He was feeling so emotional suddenly. He knew she loved him just as he knew he loved her, though they have never told it to each other as they had never felt the need to do it, and somewhere in the back of his mind he had decided that when he would tell her what was in his heart then it would have to be special and beautiful and he realized there is not going to be a moment even more special or beautiful than this. He softly says with all his love in his heart "I love you, Madhu."
