Storm <3

Sorry if the first chapter starts off slow; I'm just trying to get you to know everyone :)

____________________________________________________________________________

Math would be the death of me. Half of this stuff I'm never going to even use, so why am I taking up space in my brain with complicated junk? My name's Samantha. I'm a fangirl just like you. One Direction are pretty much the only thing I like to think about. I'd much rather be thinking of the boys instead of Algebra. I lay my head on my desk. I was tired. Especially with it being tornado weather. Last night, Mom made me wake up at 2AM just to sit in the freaking storm shelter with her, my brother (Noah), and my dad. Noah would not shut up. He sat there for the whole hour and a half playing a dumb recording on his phone of a song he and his friends made up. I wanted to kill him. Considering that at night, I do really crazy stuff that I don't remember in the morning, I probably just about did. See, I get delusional at night. According to my friends, I start getting hyper, then delusional, then I just get scary and I talk monotoned and glare evil like at them. They tell me all these things I do at night that I don't remember ever doing. Then, in the morning, I'm like Satan. I actually COULD kill anyone in the morning. ANYWAYS, I'm usually a very happy, hilarious person. But due to my little amount of sleep from the night before, I'm quite tired. I already knew how to do this math stuff... or most of it anyways. A nap wouldn't hurt.

"Ms. Fair, I'd appreciate it if you would listen in my class," Mrs. Tori said. I looked up and about had a heart attack. Mrs. Tori's face was inches from mine, and let me tell you, Mrs. Tori's breath could be smelled from the other side of the world. It was the worse smell ever. You know when you're driving down the highway or somewhere and you all of a sudden smell something absolutely discusting? And your parents say that it's just the sewer from outside or a papermill or something? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that that stench is just Mrs. Tori yawning- letting her breath run free. Sometimes, I have to resist and not say, "Tic Tac? Here take the whole pack," to her. But atleast I know what to get her for Christmas - Toothpaste.

"Oh my gosh you gave me a heart attack," I gasped at her in a fake overly dramatic way. I heard a few giggles from the class. "Just pay attention," she breathed. I held my breath until she went away. But for serious, does she even brush? The bell rang. What a relief. "And your homework for tonight is..." the class "ugh"ed. We all know teachers who give homework after the bell suck. Whatever. I went to my locker. There were my two best friends, MC and Anne. They always waited for me.

MC had dark brown hair and ivory skin with huge brown eyes. Her name was Emily Caroline, but I started calling her Em, then Em C, then I guess it just evolved to MC. It's complicated. Anne had dirty blonde hair that went down to her mid back. We headed for the cafeteria. "I'm soooo excited!" MC squealed. "Oh my gosh, me too," Anne blurted. "I'm just glad that we get to miss history!" I joked. It was Friday. We were going to go shopping after lunch and skip the last three classes of the day. We always went to class so this wasn't even a big deal. We went to lunch and sat where we normally sit which is closer towards the middle.

"Hey Samantha!" Katherine said. Ugh, Katherine. Katherine was this HUGE directionator. She ONLY liked One Direction because I did. Before she found out I liked them, she said she wished they would all die. Me and her are not on good terms. She threatened to murder me one time. It wasn't even that long ago. Now she acts like everything between us is fine. I try to be nice to everyone so when she says hey I am nice back. But really. I don't want to sound like a snob, but I don't need to hang out with her. My parents won't even LET me because of the huge incident we were in.

"Hi," I said. She said something about Harry then walked off. Me, MC, and Anne ate our lunch, mainly talking about One Direction. Then we went to the office to check out.

"Where is the check out sheet?" Anne asked.

"Sorry there is no checking out right now," the office lady rudely said.

"...Why not?"

"There's a tornado warning. You all need to go into the safety halls and sit by the lockers. It's too windy and stormy to leave the school."

"But we're about to go-"

She pressed the intercom button, "All students evacuate to the safety halls. We are under tornado warning."

We looked at each other. MC looked like she had given up. She started walking towards the halls with Anne. "Guys where are you going?"  I said once leaving the office. "To the halls?" Anne said as if it were obvious. "The mall is that way, guys," I said in a derp voice. "Look outside. We can't drive in that," MC said. It was raining really hard and trees were blowing everywhere. I rolled my eyes. "Stupid tornados." We went into the hallway. MC and Anne looked really sad. "Since we can't go shopping..." I said as I pulled a magazine out of my bag. MC and Anne's eyes lit up at my One Direction magazine. We flipped it open. "Skip right to the posters!" MC laughed. I was the professional poster person. I could tear out posters without making holes in their faces. I would always call myself a "pro poster person" just to be funny. Anne grabbed the Harry posters. "MINE." she claimed. Me and MC fought over the Niall poster. Niall was both of our favorites. Niall and I would be so adorable together, personally. MC says I act more like Louis, but I definitely act like Niall.

After the tornado warning ended, we drove off as fast as we could before anyone could stop us. We rode the carrusel once we got there because who wouldnt? "Guys lets go get a picture!" We galloped over, like they do in Monty Python. "We're such retards!" MC laughed. After the funny pictures, we decided to split up for a minute. I had a giftcard to TopShop , but Anne and MC really wanted to go to Cookie Central - which I didn't care for. We basically had the mall to ourselves. There were only few people besides us, with school going on and all. I looked at some cute boots in TopShop. They were even on sale! My feet were so small, that they didn't have my size. "Mam, do you have these in a size 5?" I asked the counter lady. She opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted.

"Attention all shoppers. Attention ALL SHOPPERS. Please make your way to the mall shelter, PLEASE make your way to the mall shelter. PLEASE HURRY," the speakers yelled. "Oh my gosh," the counter lady gasped. "What?" I asked. "Where's the shelter?"

"That's the problem. I don't know. I have no clue..." she started hyperventilating.

"Did they never show you when you got this job?"

"They- they- they... No. And- An- And I hate storms. I can't just I - I..." she was freaking out.

"Calm down it's just a tornado. Tornados don't even get bad here. The worse they have ever done to this town is knock a few shingles off a roof. The town freaks out and calls these drills for no reason," I assured her.

This was realllllyyy awkward.

All of a sudden, it got super loud from the wind. The roof shook. Was I seeing pecks of sunlight through the roof?? The counter woman ran as fast as she could.

"Where do I go?!?!" I shouted in fear. It was getting bad. I rushed out of TopShop and down the mall - trying to find where the lady went, hoping it would be near the shelter. Where was I going? Was I going to be ok? The wind got louder. I looked around frantically. SLAM! I bumped into someone. Before I could turn around to see who it was, debris came in from the roof and walls around me - crumpling around the stands around me. The debris flew at me full force. I threw my hands over my head and chunked my self to the ground. The walls were blocked up. The wind blew bits of building all around me. It made a perfect space to where I was stuck in a crumbling mess. The tornado had blown parts to the building to form a room of its own with no way out. I was trapped. Debris continued to blow throughout, until it had shut off all entrances from this tornado mess. I turned around to see who I bumped into. OH... MY... GOSH.
