Everlasting Love (Jai Brooks FanFic)

The school bell rang and everyone started running through the school hallways. It was the first day back after summer holidays. My first day of grade 12. My last year in highschool.

'Home sweet home,' I thought to myself remembering back to my first day here in grade 8. Yuck. Grade 8. Worst half year of my LIFE. I left halfway through. It was horrible. Lets just say I was badly bullied, but then I changed schools and everything was great! Until mum got her second divorce... You see, a long time ago, she married my REAL dad, then things got bad, and she got a divorce around about the time I told her I wanted to move schools in grade 8. A few weeks later she met someone else and rushed into a marrige with him, so I moved to Perth to live with him for the rest of my high school life. But then, as the story goes, she got another divorce and we moved back to Melbourne. So now, I'm back in this hell hole for my graduation year.

I guess you want to know some stuff about me personally though, right? Well, my names Maddy and I'm almost 17. I have green eyes and light brown hair. And between you and me, I have a tattoo. Not a big one, but it means a lot to me. It's a cross on my ankle, so the teachers don't see. But I'm not into breaking the rules, I wasn't underaged when I got it done, I had mum's permission. She's awesome, or atleast she was. But since the divorce, she's had a hard time. But anyways, time for my first day!

Walking through the hallways, I saw a few familiar faces. That one boy who everyone thought pooped his pants, now has all the girls swarming after him. And that girl who used to have heaps of friends and thought she was amazing, now walks alone and looks tipsy. But all those people don't matter to me. I'm looking for two boys in particular, and the last time I saw them was when I was 13 years old.

Luke and Jai Brooks.

My family had always been family friends with the Brooks' for as long as I could remember, and with Luke and Jai being my age, we had always been super close. But since my move to Perth, I haven't heard from them at all which makes me sad. Maybe they don't really care about me that much... I have to admit, I've missed them a LOT! They were my only friends in grade 8. I wonder if they even remember me at all...

As I walked to class, I realised I was already 5 minutes late. This school looks a lot bigger than I remember it. Once I found my room, I knocked on the door and opened it. Everyone turned and stared at me. Damn it! Thats the one thing I hate about coming late (A/N: It rhymes!! :DDD).

"Ahhh, hello there missy, it's nice of you to join us this morning." The teacher said walking towards me. He looked a little mad. But then his attention changed to the students in the room.

"Class, I would like you to meet Maddy, our new student, she just came here this year, but I've heard you've been here before," He said turning to me looking confused.

"Ugghh, yeah, I was here for a bit of grade 8." I said shyly. I heard a few of the students snicker and look at me like I shouldn't be alive... I guess they remember me.

"Well it's good to have you back! There's a spare seat in the back corner for you to sit at this morning." He said gesturing to the back of the class.

I slowly walked over to the seat, taking in my new surroundings. There was a white board at the front of the room with "Good Morning Everyone!" written on it. I guess they are trying to make us happier about coming back to school. It's not working. There were posters all over the room, mostly about the school rules.

Once I was comfortable in my seat, I looked to see if anyone eas still staring at me. Thankfully, all of them were focused on the teacher at the front of the room writing on the white board. All but one. He was staring at me with a confused look on his face. What did he want?! I frowned at him then lowered my head to get a book out of my bag.

"Jai, pay attention to the board please!" The teacher yelled making the boy snap his head to the front, mumbling something under his breath.
