How we met? Well...

Today was the day! Edd was finally getting married to Matt, after forever of dancing around eachother, the idiots.
I fingered the fabric of my bridesmaids dress. I hated dressing up, wearing clothes that seemed out of place on my slender frame.
But Edd insisted.
Tom opened the door of Edds room, looking grumpy, as usual. He stopped short when he saw me helping Edd with his green bowtie. His non-existent eyes bulged, and he blushed.
"What?" I asked, tightening Edds bow. Edd beamed at himself in the mirror, no doubt practicing for Matt.
"Uh- uhm...HE is here, Edd." He turned to Edd now, hiding the blush.
Edd immediately jumped away from me and ran to Tom's side. "No." He said, starting to smile now. "Him?"
He shoved past a groaning Tom, opening the door again. "One minute."
Tom's eyes met mine and we blushed.
"So you're his sister..." He said, walking over to me. He held his hand out to shake. "Tom."
"I know who you are, idiot. We met a few weeks ago. I live with you now."
"I know." He chuckled and looked in the mirror. "Ugh, my tie is all wrong."
I moved in front of him and yanked the blue tie off. "The trick is.." I started, putting my arms on either side of his neck to tie it, but stopped, looking up. "The tie was fine, wasn't it?" He looked into my eyes.
"Yeah." He slowly lowered his head toward mine.
"You arse-" he cut me off, pressing his lips on mine. It was short and sweet,  and sudden. He pulled away and smiled.
"Of course I know who you are." He grabbed his wedding present from his bag nearby and went to leave just as Edd came back in. Tom's face darkened at Edds smile.
"Y/N? Want to meet our old roommate?"
I nodded and went to follow him out. Tom grabbed my arm. "No. Don't meet that commie ass. Please?"
I stared at his face for a moment, looking for any sign of jokes. There wasn't any.
"If it means something to Edd, I have to meet him. I mean, I probably will anyway at the ceremony."
He groaned and grabbed my shoulders. "I'll hide you in the bloody cupboard the whole time if you meet him."
I stuck my tongue out. "Try to stop me." I pulled away successfully.  He didn't even resist.
Edd was waiting at the other end of the corridor, grinning like a Cheshire Cat. "What was that all about, Y/N?"
I blushed. "Nothing, bro. Shut up." I punched his shoulder on the way into the main hall where we would have the reception later. A tall man with hair in devil-like spikes and a red bow tie was stood, leaning on a wall to the left. The first thing I noticed about him was the scar down the side of his face, welding his right eye shut.
"Hey, Tord. You wanted to meet my sister?"
He turned to Edd and his eyes- well, eye- fell onto my face, slowly looking me up and down. A smile crept onto his face. "Well, hello." He drawled in an accent I couldn't place. Russian? German?
"Hi." I said, giving him the best smile I could. I held my hand out to shake, and his took it.
"I'm Tord Larsson. War hero, friend of your brother."
Edd cringed at 'war hero' for some reason. But his smile quickly returned when Tord said  'friend'.
"My name is Y/N. Sister of Edd, certainly nothing to do with war, except playing Call of Duty 5."
He laughed, a deep, heavy laugh. "You're sister is cool, Edd. Why didn't I know her sooner?"
Edd shrugged and looked at his phone. "Just a second guys. I have to check with mum." He looked at me for a second before running off to check on our hair brained  mother.
Tord smiled again. "So, are you here with someone or are you just here for your brother?"
"Are you asking if I'm single or not?"
He chuckled. "Maybe."
I sighed. "I'm not really sure right now. A friend of mine who I've known for a few weeks tricked me into kissing him, but I still don't know."
"Who's the friend?"
I rubbed my eyes. "Tom."
He tensed, looking dark for a moment, before smiling-weakly- again. "Do you like Tom?"
I blushed. " Tom, uh, I don't know, err..kinda.."
Tord sighed. "Why don't I change your mind? Be your date at the reception tonight and see if you like me?"
"You? We just met."
He nodded. "I know. But trust me, Tom is bad blood. You shouldn't hang about with him."
"Fine, I'll be your date, Tord."
He blinked but regained himself.  "Good." He walked away.
I decided to ask Matt about what seems to be a long standing disagreement between Tom and Tord.
"Oh, they hate each other."
I straighted his bowtie, listening intently.
"I mean, Tord blew our house up!"
I nodded. I was pretending to be shocked, but of course a war hero had bombs.
"But enough about them." I sighed. He continued. "Don't I look hot!?"
I smiled. "Always, Bro in law."
He hugged me and said quietly "Not as hot as Edd and you."
I left him to it and met Tom in the hallway.
"Look, I really don't like you just hung around with Tord on your own."
I groaned.
"Please tell me you'll be my date? I'd hate to know you'd be with him."
I froze. "What?"
"Please be my date."
I thought about it for a moment. Tom was right. Tord blew up their home.
"Sure."
"Great!" He smiled and ran off to find Susan. He had made a song especially for the groom and groom.
Now I had one thing to do.
I had to find out who to let down!
