Ch. 12

I walked into the mansion and head to the kitchen. When i enter i see everyone eating breakfast, in unison they all look up and say "THANK YOU VIPER." my eyes go wide with shock and i hear a little giggle from sally. I crouch down beside sally and give her the candy i bought "Don't eat it till after breakfast ok?" i tell her while patting her head, she just nods in response. I then call out bens name at which he looks up. "Catch." i say as i throw the mountain dew bottle at him, he catches it and says thanks while going back to his pancakes.

While everyone is distracted with their food i grab the steak and go outside. I go a little bit into the trees and i pull my mask to the side of my head. I open the packaging and with a pop my jaw unhinged tearing my cheeks open. I grab the steak and eat it all in one gulp. Popping my jaw back in place, i make a mental note to go out killing tonight since normal food doesn't satisfy my hunger any more. I slide my mask back on and head back to the mansion.

Before i got to the front door i heard a snap, then nails scratching against a tree, then a low and threatening growl.
'oh shit, not again' i thought to myself. I dash to the front door as fast as i can on a bad leg. I hear the RAKE i think thats what masky called it. I hear the rake getting closer. Im almost at the door when i hear another growl close behind me. I quickly take a step to my left trying not to put to much pressure on my right leg.

I step to the left and the rake whiz past me with too much momentum, he wasn't able to stop in time before he crashed in to the front door. I take my knives out preparing to fight. It got back up like nothing happened and started running at me blood lust and anger in it's eyes. I step to my right this time, but wasn't fast enough as its claws scratched my arm. It turned around quickly and swung at my legs. I quickly doge but soon get hit in the face scratching the eye patch, the dust mask, and my face.

It swung its arms at my stomach by i doge and stab its arm. I screechs, and right after i hear a little scream from Sally. The Rake snapped its head in Sally's direction and started sprinting towards her. While I'm running towards her i see a hoodie push Sally behind him. The rake raised its hand up ready to strike. As it starts to bring its hand down i push hoodie and Sally. They stumble back inside the house as Sally gasps. I soon feel the Rakes claws digging and scrapping my back. I let a pained gasp escape, i turn around and stab its elbow and keep a grip on the handle.

It starts to pull it arm back as the other swings and claws at me. It yanked its arm to hard and the Rakes elbow pulled apart with a pop. The only Rake let out an ear piercing screech as it swung its good arm and caught my bad leg. It dug its claws in and pulled up until i heard a snap. I screamed in pain as i swung my knife and cut its arm. I could smell the blood but i just didn't know who's blood.

It kept swinging at me. Soon i heard slender teleport to the front yard yelling"What is all the noise!" i only answer with a grunt as the Rakes attention is redirected to slender. While the Rake was distracted i quickly stand up yanking its arm towards me. When his face was close to mine i took my knife and slit it's throat. Slender just stands there as i get sprayed with blood and the Rakes body crumbles to the ground. I can feel my eyes and fangs go back to normal, i didn't even feel them change.

I slump to the ground exhausted and from blood loss. My breathing becomes uneven and heavey. I stand up slowly grabbing my mask and my other knife that was still stuck in the Rakes arm. I limp to the front door while putting my mask on i trip and fall flat on my stomach. Groaning in pain i slowly get up again but then i feel a pair of arms hooked around my waist helpinh my up. I was then picked up bridal style, i look over and see hoodie carrying me into the mansion without saying a word.

We walk through the crowd crowd that formed during the fight. Hoodie carries me to the infirmary where jack was sitting at his desk reading a book. I couldn't read the title due to the blood loss blurring my vision. Hoodie puts me down on the bed,"Thank you." he said in a whisper i just nod in response. He stands back up and walks over to talk to jack.
Ugh why couldn't you just die.
Look at all this trouble your making hoodie do just because you didn't DIE.
JUST DIE ALREADY!
YOU MONSTER!
The familiar voice of my mother yells but there is another voice but i don't know whose it is.

I groan in annoyance as my vision goes back to normal.
'i love this fast healing.' i think to myself. While hoodie a jack are still talking i stand up and move the curtain around the bed so that they can't see me. Grabbing some bandage from the cabinet beside the bed. I take my shirt off and wrap the bandage around my torso and put my shirt back on. I open the curtain and walk out of the infirmary and head to my room.
