I woke up with a huge headache, I slowly raised from the bed feeling an arm softly fall down my chest and into my lap. I turned to my right and my eyes widened, oh my gosh did I sleep with joey?! I quickly got up and went to the restroom and I stared and my bruised up neck, holy shit I did. 

I opened the medicine cabinet and took two Tylenols for my headache and walked to the kitchen to grab a water from the fridge. I walked back to the room and sat on the bed with my head in my hands feeling my head literally pounding from this horrible headache, then I felt it, the vomit . I quickly ran into the restroom collapsing onto my knees in front of the toilet and started throwing up continuously, I then felt someone tie my hair up and leave.

" joey a little help here? "

" no you got it, " he laughed

" I dont see how this is funny " 

" get over it and deal with it your self " and with that he left .

what a asshole, sigh, imagine falling for someone like that? couldn't be me. I sighed getting up and walking to my bed grabbing my water from my night stand. I decide to go out so to have some time to myself, I change into something simple like jeans and a crop top and some checkered vans and threw my hair into a high pony tail, I then applied some light makeup and off I went not forgetting my phone and purse of course. 

I walked out the door and made my way to the lobby, as I was walking out the door I was awkwardly greeted by joey and jess, thats cute. I tried to ignore their stares and continue walking even noticing them snickering at me, I kept calm and walked out to my car which yes! is finally with momma, speaking of we should go wash her. 

I got in and connected to the Bluetooth and started jamming and vibing to my aesthetic / hype songs. my playlist was and actual mess, one song will be sad and aesthetic, the next will be hype, and then i'll end up on oldies. 

I pulled out of the parking lot and decided to drive to the mall to get some new shoes and maybe some new clothes. on my way over I was amazed by everything I saw like if ive never seen it before but it all felt different because I was older. after my dad died my mom never really liked to take us out or leave the house because it didnt feel right without him, which is totally understandable because everything we would do would be family things that we once did with my father. I sighed thinking about everything that happen and how we lost him, my dad was my rock and after he passed I didnt even want to live without him.

I walked into papaya getting a bunch of cute jeans and shirts, then I went to forever 21 to get some dresses, and lastly I went to finishline and got some white low top air forces and decided to order the purple and blue ones online. I was sitting at the food court eating my mcdonalds when I noticed joey at the chick-fil-a, god this kid is literally everywhere like cant he just leave me alone and go away? I sighed getting up to throw my trash away and began to walk away when he called me. I hesitated but went over there anyway, he was with 3 other friends and only 1 of them was like really cute.

" what? "

" nothing just wanted to bug you " he grinned

" cool, dont. " I said turning around and began to walk away

I left the mall and decided to go visit my mom which was probably going to be weird considering she just left me there. I wanted to see my little brother though, he was my little everything, always knew how to make me smile even when things weren't going too well. 

I pulled into the driveway and got out taking one big look at my childhood home and how pretty it was, the white paint was really a good idea. I stepped up to the door sighing and opening it walking in, I was horrified by what I walked into, I mother slapping my little brother in the face. as soon as they heard the door close they turned to look at me, my mother with wide eyes trying to cover up my brother who was crying holding his red cheek. 

" mama que pasa!? " I said furiously 

" nothing, nothing, what are you doing here so unannounced mija? " she said shakily

" shut up what are you doing to fabiano! " 

" he dropped the juice all over the floor "

" so? that doesn't give you the right to smack him around like that! makes me question what else you've done to him " 

" shut up and dont question me pendeja, if you came to be a pepa then leave "

" fine I will but im taking him with me! "

" somewhere without you "

I walked over to get my brother and go but she pushed him to the floor and spit at my feet. jesus Christ this woman is crazy, I tried to keep my cool while being near her grabbing my brother and leaving. I couldn't believe she would do that to such a poor innocent child who has done nothing but be there for her when my mama needed it most.

" baby are you okay? " I said worriedly 

" I started to think you were never gonna come " 

" ay baby I'm so sorry how long as she been doing this "

" since you left "

at that point I was infuriated  and wanted to nothing more but ruin her and everything she has but I would rather do this the legal way. I decided to have my brother stay with me permanently in the dorms just until I can get a house for my own, he would still go to school but it would be a different one. I wanted to make up for what my mama didnt give him, poor baby, seeing my little everything crying like that made me hurt inside.

" do you want some pizza I bought earlier and a soda? " he nodded

I warmed up the pizza and handed it to him along with a sprite, I sighed knowing that this was going to be hard but I know I can do it, most definitely.

the door knob jiggled and opened to reveal joey standing there with his back pack looking very tired, he walked in turning to say hi to me not noticing my brother but after a second he quickly turned back with wide eyes.

" who is that and why is he here? "

" my brother...its a long story joey, can I tell you later? " I said softly looking down then back up

he nodded and walked to his room putting his stuff down and taking off his shoes. he came back out and I introduced them to each other, gosh theyre both adorable together.

" hey do you wanna play some games with me? " 

" yes!! " my brother exclaimed running over to the couch 

joey helped him set everything up and walked back to the kitchen sitting down at the island, I noticed he looked tired and I'm sure he had a headache so I gave him a Tylenol and some water.

" thank you " I nodded 

" so what's going on? " 

" I was gonna go visit my mom and him but when I walked in I saw her slap him across the face, all for spilling some juice on the floor. I was disgusted so without thinking I grabbed him and left and now were here " I sighed 

he gave me a reassuring nod and rubbed my shoulder saying it was all going to be okay and that he would help me, I felt much better.

" he can stay here and go to school nearby so that way hes not far while were at class " 

" okay " I said about to cry

" dont worry okay? he'll be fine, we'll get through this together " 

I sniffled and cried into his shoulder, I needed that.
