Betty: Looking back at my good girl past I was so different. My hair was tightly pulled back behind my ears in my iconic ponytail. My makeup was all natural and I looked like a baby . As I got out of bed I checked the date. Monday 11th of September. Something about this date felt oddly familiar. I ignored the feeling and headed to my closet trying to find what to wear. As I found my sweater I reached in for a skirt and felt something. The dress. The dress of pain and sorrow. The dress I wore to the dance. The dress..no! I'm with jughead now I thought. Archie rejected me for a reason and we were both lucky..we found the right people right. I put on my outfit and headed downstairs to eat breakfast. I just need food that's all get my brain processing.
Archie: ughhhh I hate school. My head felt as if it's a battle field. I got up and went to wash my face and headed to the kitchen. "Hey dad" I said rubbing my temples. "Hey son" he said sipping his coffee. "Dad can I skip school today I have to worst migraine". I expected my dad to send me to bed but instead he chucked pain killers at me. "Archie your attendance is awful you need to go to school to get your grades back up I'm not gonna have a son who fails". I sighed and headed back upstairs to get dressed. I heard my phone ping and picked it up wearily
Veronica: archiekins you ready?
Archie: yeah Ronnie juss putting my shoes on
Veronica: ok on my way now xI put my shoes on and headed out the door and sat on the wall waiting for Veronica. I saw Betty head out making her way to school
Archie: hey ronnie change of plans I just realised I have football practise at 8:00 and I'm not gonna make it in time
Veronica: ok do what you have to do I'll be at your practise supporting you at 9:00 archiekinsI switched off my phone and ran towards Betty. It was surprisingly refreshing to see her. She looked...tense
Betty: god my mother. She expects me to be home by 5:30 do I look like I'm a baby?! I slammed the door and stormed off. I didn't even think to greet Archie like I always do. I walked away and heard footsteps approaching me. "Betty?". Oh good it was Archie. His voice gave me butterflies but I needed to stop them. "Hey arch" I said smiling. He smiled back. Oh god that smile gets me everytime. "On your way to school right?" he said. I nodded. "Archie why are you here so early school doesn't start in like an hour?" "Oh yeah I have tryouts for football with coach what about you?" He raised his eyebrow at me. "Oh erm..air?" "Betty..." he said god why does he know me so well. "I'm having breakfast at pops." He said "oh another cooper brawl." I nodded and shrugged "Polly drama." Archie nodded understandably and smiled as we were greeted by the neon lights of pops. "After you Elizabeth" and he winked at me. I shook my head at him and giggled.
Archie: sitting in a booth with Betty alone just felt so..pure. She makes me feel like another man. Her smile just made me smile and her cute little giggles god this girl is going to be the death of me. I think I was drunk when I rejected her. My phone vibrated in my pocket. God does it have to be now? Betty looked at me and smiled.
Archie: hey Ronnie what's up
Veronica: your not at football tryouts
Archie: oh yeah I saw Betty and she was in a state so I wanted to comfort her so I bought her breakfast at pops
Veronica: you and Betty huh...
Archie: yeah we are best friends?
Veronica: yeah I know gotta go bye!Betty looks at me with her beautiful eyes. "Everything ok arch?" She said as she took a sip of her coffee. I smiled "never better cooper"
