lloyd has been training to be a ninja most of his life , and as such , has developed several skills . one of the most notable is spinjitzu , a close - combat martial arts technique that involves the user tapping into their inner balance while spinning rapidly , creating a tornado - like vortex of energy around themselves . he's also learned airjitzu , a similar martial art created by master yang that involves the user tapping into their innate elemental energies while spinning rapidly, also creating a tornado - like vortex of energy around themselves which allows them to levitate over land.
he's also quite proficient at hand to hand combat and other martial arts , as well as combat involving a variety of weapons . lloyd is skilled at sewing , and can read (at least some of) ninjago's ancient language(s). however , he cannot mimic voices or accents .
