Chapter 13

                                                                   RIVERS P.O.V.

                "RIVER!!!" Jordyn screamed from downstairs. "I'M COMING!! HOLD YOUR UNICORNS!!" I yelled from my room. I put down The Rule of Thoughts by James Dashner and walked downstairs. "You called sister?" "Yeah" She said. "I need some help in the kitchen." "okay. With what?" I questioned as I walked in. "The dishes. Im ordering a Pizza and im bored but i dont wanna do them alone." she said while drying off a bowl. "Oh okay."

                After we finnished the dishes we sat down and watched Death of a Superhero. I chose it because of Thomas Brodie Sangster. "WHERE THE SHANKING SHUCK IS OUR PIZZA!?" Jordyn yelled. "No clue. But it should be free." Just then we heard the doorbell ring.

              "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF! YOU KEPT TWO VERY HUNGRY GIRLS WAITING! WHAT KIND OF PIZZA MAN ARE YOU?!?!?!?!?" Jordyn yelled. I probably should have stopped her but ya know...I was mad. "I'm very sorry m'am" the the pizza guy. "I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me." The weird thing about him was... he kept his head down. "Do I know you from somewhere?" I asked while stepping up to the door frame. He picked his head up. "Long time no see,River." Said Zach.

                   Jordyn quick slammed the door but Zach kept it open with his foot. "RUN!" I screamed to her. Up the stairs we ran. Our hearts were racing as we desperately ran trying to find a place to hide. "Jordyn" I said quietly. "Jordyn stop. There should be a secret passage in Lou's Room." "Lets go' she said in agreement.

                      We crawled in and sat down. Our lungs burned as we were gasping for air. We heard foot steps outside the door. Then,slowly, they faded away. "Do you think hes gone?" Jordyn whispered. Then the door opened and jordyn quickly hit Zach and we ran to the kitchen. I grabbed a knife from the drawer just as Zach appeared in the doorway. "Get out of here" I said to him. "Now why would i wanna do that?" he said while lauging slightly. Then he jumped at me. I fell on the ground as we wrestled for the knife. Jordyn ran over and pushed him away and he stumbled to the side as  his head hit the floor hard.

                   "Thank." I said as Jordyn helped me up. "No problem" She said as she gave a small smile. Her smile vanished as quickly as it had appeared. She fell to the ground. "Jordyn!" i screamed. Zach stood behind her with a bloody knife in his hand. Then we heard the sirens. Zach quickly shot out the door and left me with Jordyn that was slowly dying. "No no NO!" I screamed as i knelt beside her. "You're gonna be okay' I reassured her. "Riv.." she said as she stopped breathing. I went numb. My best friend that i had just found out was my long lost sister had died in my arms by my ex boyfriend.
