(The next morning)

"MOMMY! MOMMY! MOMMY!" I heard Chloe yelling and laughing as she was jumping up and down on my king size bed. I slowly start to open my eyes and see her just having a good old time.

"Good morning Chloe!" I say in my groggy morning voice. She then plops down right next to me for our morning snuggles. "What are we doing today?" She asks as we're both looking out the big windows of my room watching the sun slowly making its way up to the top of the sky.

"Well babygirl, mommy has to go to work and you are going to grandmas today. But first we are having a breakfast date today!" As soon as she heard me say those few last words she sprung her  whole body around with the biggest smile on her face and gave me the biggest hug.

Chloe and I have a very strong and close mother/daughter relationship. She is still a very young girl but we always pick each other up if one is down.

Every once in a while we have our breakfast dates which consists of going to Starbucks and getting our coffees and muffins. But she is 6 so she gets a chocolate milk in the iced coffee cups so she can be like mommy.

A few more minutes laying in bed and we finally hop out and start getting ready for the day.

I go with my black dress pants, a floral flowey top and my black flats and little miss Chloe puts on a pair of black leggings, a pink t shirt and her black flats as well.

I work at a job that most do not like. Well more specifically I am a music critique. I write a blog about different musicians, bands, and some behind the scenes we all wonder about. So my journalism degree has really helped me out to get this job.

When Chloe and I were done getting ready for the day we grabbed all of our belongings and walked out the door. Her most favorite thing to do with me is go to Dunkin', get a coffee, a breakfast wrap, and go to the park across the street. When it's cold out we sit inside.

We get to Dunkin and order our drinks and breakfast wraps to make our way to the park. When we sit down the first thing she says is, "have you called him yet mommy?" My heart broke. I don't know if he's going to even answer. I don't know if he's even got the same number. It's been six years.

"Not yet. But when I get to work I'll call him okay?" Her facial expression gets really sad and again, it kills me but I don't really want her to know his reaction if it's a bad one.

We finish our coffees and wraps, I drop her off at my moms, then I go into work. When. I get up to my desk I see a note for a new assignment and when I searched up the artist 'SoMo' I was so surprised. It's Joseph.

I guess this is a sign to finally talk to him. I take my phone out and decide to give it a shot.

It rings,
rings,
rings,

"Hello?" My heart stops. "Hello??" He says again. Fuck. "Hey..." I say really softly. "Who is this?" I expected this. "It's Jordyn." I was so nervous. "Oh, hey..." I took a deep breath. "Chloe asked about you."  He was quiet for a minute. "Oh..." I knew this was a mistake.

"I'm sorry for bothering you." Then I hung up.
