Harlem and Prince walked through JFK airport side by side and cozy. Both were extremely excited to be off of that island and back in the states. Harlem couldn't wait to see trouble that's all she has been thinking about. Harlem and Prince spent the rest of the week acting like they were getting to know each other and actually liked one another. They ate breakfast, lunch and dinner together, watched movies and hung out on the beach. It was becoming a friendship before it even felt like anything else.Once they got inside of the car they began to make plans. "Ima hit the clubs up tonight and before I go back home where I'm picking you up from?"
"My friend Kenya's house in the Bronx." They both had as much freedom as they wanted but their marriage still stood and their was just some things they couldn't do. Harlem and Prince just didn't know how deep they were into this shit.
They continued to talk some more about their plans before they were dropped off at their new home in New Jersey where their parents except for Harlem's dad, were waiting for them. Harlem desperately wanted to head out but they claimed they had to talk to them about something. They met up inside of the dining room, the tension was so thick that it was too hard to ignore. Harlem couldn't hide her attitude and for some reason it was towards her so called mother and She could never respect a woman like her.
They were literally twins, same beauty mark and all but all they shared was blood.
"We know things started off rocky but we're all a family at this point and in order to grow together we all have to come to an understanding," Harlem's mom spoke. Although she felt terrible about what she was doing to her daughter, business was business. "We need to put our differences aside for the sake of the business."
"Prince had been learning the business since he was sixteen, he knows the ins and outs but you as his wife has to learn a few things as well." Prince's dad added. "Because in a few months he'll have my spot and you'll take the place for your family.
"I don't wanna be involved in anything illegal."
"All you gotta do is look good." Prince nudged her playfully. It was true, the only thing Harlem had to do was look pretty and carry her family's name.
Prince had a very friendly vibe about him, he came off as such a gentleman most times but Harlem still didn't trust him. The things he did when they were away didn't take away from anything, she really didn't know this man she was just trying to survive her current situation.
Prince, his father and Harlem's mother began to leave. Harlem ignored her mom as she said bye to her and continued to stare at her nails. Prince told his dad he would meet him at the car so that he could talk to Harlem privately.
"Whatever you thinkin about doing don't do it yet." He stood in between her and a chair, resting his hands on the arms.
"What are you talking about?"
"It's too soon to run into that nigga." He responded referring to Trouble. He knew Harlem had plans to see him but she was going about it all wrong.
"He's my fiancé."
Prince laughed at her, running a hand down his face. "I'm your husband." He joked.
Harlem stayed serious, she wanted nothing more than to be back with her family and that was her goal. "I'm not trying to be in this situation forever."
Prince shrugged, almost wanting her to give that shit up because she had no choice. "You gotta move smarter." He advised her.
But Harlem didn't listen, she ended up at her friends house where trouble had been waiting for her since he first got the call and because he used to be so deep into the streets he immediately got the story. The people she were involved with were ghosts, only a select few knew or even saw these niggas that put so much fear in niggas hearts. Trouble even heard that they were a bunch of has beens trying to get back on the streets but either way he wasn't worried about that shit.
