It was a day like any other, Mother and I were sparring for the 10th time today per my request. I just wanted to keep fighting to show I had learned well from her and of course incorporated my own likes and style. I needed to prove I was worthy, that I was worth the death of Father. If I don't, then his death will have been in vain and fruitless.

I kicked Mother in the ribs before sliding underneath her and kicking her butt with all my leg strength to successfully knock her onto her stomach as I swiftly and effortlessly mounted her back with her own dagger in my hand as I placed it at the base of her skull, where the weak spot is on the skull for most things. I was panting at this point from sparring since no breaks were allowed in between but I didn't mind too much. She struggled some but I held the dagger firm against her skull as a warning, to surrender or else. She got the message because she tapped the ground twice indicating She gave up. I smiled and howled at my victory. I stood up then held my hand out for my Mother to which she took it as I helped her up.

"Congratulations on your nain-desintje-de (pure win/absolute victory), my little sain'ja (warrior)." She said to me, pulling me into her embrace. I happily let her embrace me as I hugged back. I chuckled and responded with:

"No, not sain'ja, n'yaka-de (master) at this point." I started flipping my sweat-soaked hair out of my face and giggling. She nodded, she put her hands on my shoulders looking me straight into my blue orbs as I stared intently back into her chocolate colored-orbs.

"You have made me proud, you train well just like a true Yautja which you have proven yourself to be. Your Father would have been proud to see you this way. Don't forget all I have taught you, most importantly don't forget the Yautja honor system and my morals that are now your morals. You don't fight for humans, for Weyland Corp. You fight for honor and one day you will be beaten and given honorable death where you will join your Father in Paya's sweet embrace." I almost tear up at my Mother 's words but remain my composure as a Yautja would. I tightly hugged my Mother as her arms wrapped around me in her motherly embrace. I smiled up at my Mother when-SNAP~!

My ears perked up at the faint sound of a twig snapping outside. I whipped my head in the direction of the sound, it seemed Mother heard it too she was looking in the same direction after I was.

"There's someone outside, there are no animals around here." I stated sneaking to the window before peering out of it. I noticed a shadow moving on the edge of the treeline surrounding the house we were staying inside. I nodded at her showing I confirmed my suspicions. She growled and motioned for me to grab a weapon. I did so by grabbing a dagger my Mother had gifted me on my 18th birthday. She started walking towards the front door when I instinctively followed after him to kill the intruder. But to my surprise, she stopped me with a warning growl.

"Stay here, you will not partake in this battle." She demanded staring at me. I huffed and puffed out my chest.

"I am ready Mother! Let me go with-" I said taking a step towards her before she cut me off.

"NO! Stay here! I will not tell you again! Take your dagger and hide! I will not lose you like your Father!" She said raising her voice at me with an aggressive snarl. I bowed my head in submission before taking cover behind the couch. With that notion, she activated the cloaking device and walked out the door. I watched the windows from my hiding place when I heard gunfire. I heard my Mother screaming, sometimes in pain while others in aggression. This went on for about 45 minutes.

This didn't feel right, it had to be them. It had to be Weyland Corp, Mother needs me! Before I could make a move I sensed movement by the front door, multiple people, then the front door flew open with a loud bang then a huge thud could be heard along with a groan from Mother. I peeked my head around the back of the couch and saw Mother on the floor bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds and lacerations. Then I saw him, Mr. Weyland walking in the front door. A grin on his pauking face staring down at my beaten Mother.

"Alright, you fucking traitor! Where is she?!" He yelled kicking my Mother's stomach. She grunted in pain before turning her attention to him. She propped herself up onto her hands then roared hatefully looking up at his face. How had they caught her?? She's practically a Yautja they must have a trick up their sleeve they have hidden from us before we escaped.

"Go fuck yourself." She said spitting in his face letting a soft chuckle escape her lips. Mr. Weyland started to laugh before kicking my mother in the face then he proceeded to grab her by the collar before speaking again to her.

"Last chance Megami, where did you stash her? Or else I'll kill you and take her myself." He spat looking at her beaten face with a scowl.

"Kill me? I'm already dead, you are looking at a ghost and soon you will be one to." With that sentence I saw my mother's hand come up to reveal a pin in her hand then a heard something roll on the floor. Then I noticed what it was in once second, she pulled the pin off a grenade. My eyes widened in the realization of what was happening.

"Mother NO!" I screamed running around the couch reaching for her before I was pushed back by the force of the explosion before my vision went black.

My ears were ringing from the explosion as my vision started to clear as I looked up to see my destroyed home. I got to my feet before brushing myself off and looking around the debris. I walked back to the center of the destroyed living room to see my mother's burnt body. She took most of the damage from the explosion.

"Why..?" I whispered out subconsciously before kneeling down to look closer at her. I noticed her hand other hand was closed tightly like she was protecting something. I pried her fist open to see an undamaged necklace. I looked closer and saw it was the necklace I gave her on her birthday.
