Chapter 4

Luke. He has the same expression on his face as I have on mine. Pure shock. He quickly covers it up with a little smirk.

"Mae, is it?" he asks, clearly remembering me. My eyebrows scrunch up in confusion but I soon recover with a small, sincere smile.

"Yeah! Did you know it was me?" I ask. I'm pretty sure he didn't though.

"No. We were just doing a prank. The others are over there," he points out the boys standing in front of Forever 21. They looked shocked for a moment.

"Oh, okay. can I go say hi or are y'all too busy?" I asked. I really didn't want to interfere or mess up their plans. I like to stick to my plans, I assume they like to stick with theirs too.

"Oh course you can!" he says putting his hand on the bottom of my back, making me smile like crazy. He starts leading me over to them, getting closer and closer to my side.

"Guys! Remember Mae?" Luke asks them as we come to a stop in front of them. They seem to be staring at how close Luke and I are. Maybe I should step away. I step to the side, making a small distance between us. Skip snorts.

"Hi," I say as I crack a smile. I said that shy... I don't want them to think it was just an act last night. It was all real. I should be more sassy.

"Hey there," Beau winks as Skip rolls his eyes.

"Hey, Mae!" James shouts and pulls me into a huge hug. Mmmm, he smells so good.

"Mae is my bae," skip jokes. I snort.

"Hey there, Mae," Jai finally says.

"So what are you doing here?" Beau asks me.

"Well, I am supposed to be finding a Starbucks while my friend gets us food. We are leaving to go home soon. I just wanted to go shopping before we leave. I didn't expect you guys to be here," I reply. They all nod their heads in understanding.

"So you don't live here?" Luke asks. I shake my head.

"No, I live not too long from here. Just a few hours."

"You know what Mae Bae, I think you deserve a day with, drumroll please!" Skip shouts to the boys, who start doing drum rolls on their stomachs or thighs. "The Janoskians!" They cheer but not too loudly, never know when crazy fans are around.

"I would love to!" I laugh. Ida is going to be so happy.

"Yay!" they all shout in unison. I giggle in response. My phone then starts vibrating in my back pocket.

"Sorry guys, my butt is vibrating," I giggle. They laugh along. I check my phone and I have 15 missed messages from Ida. I guess I didn't feel it vibrating until now. As soon as I unlock my phone, I get and incoming call from her.

"Please don't kill me," I say as I take a few steps away from the boys.

"Don't kill you? don't kill you?! My freaking Japanese food is getting cold as well as yours! where the hell are you? You were supposed to get Starbucks! what happened to-" she is freaking killing my ears.

"Dang Ida! stop killing my ear and listen to me!" I shout, a little too loudly may I add. I look around and see the boys looking at me with an amused look as well as some annoyed strangers.

"What you lookin' at? it's really rude to stare!" I shout at a prissy blonde girl. She steps in front of me.

"Excuse me?"

"Excuse you nothin'. can't you see I'm on the phone?" I step closer to her. By needing to be sassy, i didn't mean this sassy.

"Yeah, dumb biotch! You started with me!" she shouts in my face.
