Author note: this chapter is a little long sorry :3
I yawned and stood up. I grabbed my bag and walked out of class. Suddenly someone ran into me. "I'm so sorry!" yelped a blonde girl. I was zoning out of space so I just stared. "Um..." I jerked back slightly. "Sorry, I was zoning out of space. Um, it's alright. I should have been paying attention." I nervously rubbed the back of my neck. "I'm Kairi Kirishima." she stuck out her hand. I took it and shook it quickly, dropping her hand. "I'm Alec." My fathers don't want anyone to know that I'm their child. "Well, it was nice to meet you but I gotta go. My parents are waiting." She waved goodbye and walked down the hall. I took a few steps before I stopped in shock. Wait did she say Kirishima? As in the pro hero Kirishima? "Hey!" I looked back and smiled. "Hi Akemi" he stopped next to me, panting, making it apparent that he had run. "Hi" he panted, still doubled over. "Are you okay?" I lightly placed a hand on his shoulder. "Yeah, just ran a mile in my last class. And then I had to catch up with you. So I'm a little out of breath." he stood up tall, taking deep breaths. I smiled softly. "Well, how was your day?" I just shrugged. "It was alright. How was your day?" His eyes lit up. He rambled on and on and I listened, laughing softly.
"Alec!" Akemi punched me in the arm and I shook my head. "Hmm? Sorry I was spacing" I looked down at Akemi. "It's fine. Anyways can I have your number? So we can keep in touch." I nodded and handed him my phone. A small smile went across his face as he put in his number. "Akemi!" Both of us looked up at the source of the voice and my jaw dropped. Deku?!?! "Oh, he's early. Well bye, Alec." He quickly hugged me then went to his dad. "You like him don't you?" I yelped and my fist went flying. Luckily my father was quick or he would have gotten a broken nose. "Don't do that!" I shook my head. "You didn't answer my question" he looked at me through his hair. I rolled my eyes glancing over to Akemi and his father. "You do, don't you?" Shota gripped my shoulder and I looked at him. "Be careful" He walked off with me staring after him.
Do I? Do I like him? I promise myself that I wouldn't put myself through that again. I shook my head and headed home slowly. "Hey, loser!" I glanced around, looking for the source of the voice. The voice belonged to a black spiky-haired boy in an alleyway. He towered over a smaller boy. Even from across the street I could tell that the smaller kid was bleeding. I crept closer, getting ready to stop if it gets too rough. "Quirkless little bitch!" The smaller kid yelped in pain. Legs why won't you move?!?! Then the alleyway was lit up by a bright blue light. I peered around the corner then growled softly. The black-haired boy's hand was lit up by a blue flame. He smiled and reared his fist back getting ready to punch the kid on the ground. I ran as fast as I could to stop his fist. I stood in front of the kid and canceled the taller kid's quirk. His fist didn't slow and met my face. "What?!? You son of a bitch" I pushed him away, giving me more room to move. He tried to turn on his quirk, getting more pissed each time it didn't work. "What did you do to me?!" I glared down at him. "Never beat the ones that are weaker than you" He growled and charged at me. I grabbed his arm and twisted it up, making him kneel to the ground. "Who the fuck are you?!" I just twisted his arm harder.
"Hey! What's going on?" I glanced up and looked at Akemi's dad. I let go of the boy's arm and stood up tall. "Well?" Deku stood tall with his hands on his hips. "I was walking passing when I noticed him beating up a defenseless kid then he powered up his quirk and was about to strike when I stepped in." Deku nodded his head and walked over the bully. "Is he telling the truth?" The bully just nodded his head. Deku sighed and grabbed the bully's good arm, pulling him up. "Dad! Oh hi, Alec." Akemi skidded to a stop next to me. "Akemi what did I say? I said to continue walking home while I dealt with this." Akemi looked down at the ground. Deku walked towards us pulling the bully by his arm.
"Come on, Akemi." Deku walked past me but stopped a few inches behind me. "Thank you, Alec." I nodded my head and walked towards the smaller kid, still on the ground. I knelt next to the kid and whispered softly, "Are you okay?" he nodded slowly staring at my right eye. I laughed softly. "Are you wondering about my scars?" He slowly nods his head. "Well, they were from villain attacks" His eyes widen. I smiled and ran a finger across a scar. "Um, Alec? You're bleeding" He pointed to the left side of my face. I ran a gentle finger over my left cheek. "It's nothing. Just a little scratch" I smiled and stood up. "Come on let's get you home" I held a hand out and he took it, pulling himself up. "Alec!" I jumped and yelped. "Don't do that Akemi! I thought you went with your dad" He shook his head. "Well, I gotta take him to his house" Akemi nodded his head and said, "Well, I'll go with you." I sighed and walked next to the kid.
All of us made small talk on the way "Okami! There you are! I-Oh hi!" Okami's mom ran out of the house and skidded in front of us. "Um hi, I was walking past when I saw that your son was in trouble so I helped" I smiled gently. She started to tear up and ran over to me, hugging me tightly. "Thank you so much!" I looked over to Akemi for help and he was trying to hold in his laughter. I glared at him making him laugh louder. I removed her off of me and nervously laughs. "Yeah, I gotta go." I grabbed the back of Akemi's shirt and dragged him away. "Hey! What's up with you?" I shivered and stopped, clutching my chest. "I don't like affection" I stumbled into Akemi. "Woah, calm down. Sit." he made me sit on the curb. Pulling my knees to my chest, I tried to calm down. "Hey, what's wrong?" I shook my head and tried to stand but Akemi pushed me back down. I gripped my head and started to shake. Suddenly arms went around me. I jumped slightly then relaxed into his arms. "It's okay. I'm here." I gripped his shirt, crying heavily.
