Rhiannon smiled as she twirled around the floor at her  dance school as the soft music played. She didn't seem to notice the eyes on her back as she danced, careless. It was the first time in years that she had been able to do this without her uncle breathing down her neck.

A moment later, the music suddenly stopped, making her frown. The young ballerina frowned as she turned, noticing it had been unplugged. But she was the only one there at the studio at that time of day.

"Uncle Nik?" She called, thinking it was him playing a prank on her, "This isn't funny."

Just then, a man appeared with a cross bow and a tranquilizer. Rhiannon felt her stomach drop as she raised her hand, realizing he was there for her. Suddenly, a vampire appeared behind her, making her scream as his hand muffled her voice.

"Scream and I break your neck." He said. "...My dad is going to kill you." She replied, fighting him.

"Your dad is in his basement with a dagger in his chest." The other man said, making her freeze. "Get away from me." She cried. "Come on Ric, we all know Klaus will want her when he comes." The man said, "Just knock her ass out."

Rhiannon felt the dart puncture her chest as the medication found its way into her body. She felt her body go limp as she fell backwards. The dark haired man lifted her up just as her phone began to ring.

"Who is that?" Alaric asked. "Says Uncle K...must be Klaus." Damon replied, smirking before picking  up the phone, "Hello?"

"Who the bloody hell are you?" He said, sounding worried. "Someone who is willing to risk it all to keep you from killing Elena." Damon replied. "Where is my niece?" Klaus growled. "At the moment, sleeping...if you want to see her again, you'll  have to give up killing her." Damon said. "I will you kill you if you don't release her...now!" Klaus snarled. "Got to go, toodles." Damon grinned, hanging up.

"That was smart...he's going to kill you for sure now." Alaric said. "Probably, come on." Damon said, making him sigh.

The next day, Rhiannon awoke to being chained to a chair in the same cell that her father was in. The first thing she saw was his burned and desiccating form laying in the white oak dust. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at him. She tugged against her binds only to feel the tug of a needle in her arm. Rhiannon whimpered in pain as she heard a voice.

"Easy...don't tug that." A man's voice said, making her look up. "...Please, just let me leave...I don't have anything to do with this." Rhiannon whimpered, seeing his blue eyes soften. "I wish I could...that was wrong of him to do that to you." Alaric said, making her tear up at the sight of her father. "I just want to go home...what do you want with me?" Rhiannon asked. "I just want to protect someone I love very much." He said.

"Stop coddling her Ric, she knows something." Damon said, making her look up. "About what the Sun and Moon curse?" She frowned, "My dad and uncle don't tell me about that for a reason...I was little when they were going to break it." Rhiannon whimpered.

Three days had gone by since then and Rhiannon was shaken as she drifted in and out of consciousness. Damon had hit her and knocked her around more times than she could count. She wondered if her uncle was coming for her or would she be stuck in this hellish place. Time seemed to move slowly as she dozed in and out of consciousness. She didn't hear Damon's voice or the sting of his hand as he slapped her to make her talk or listen to him. She didn't hear anything anymore.

SIX MONTHS LATER...

One day, she wasn't sure how much time had passed, when she heard the door open. She heard the shocked gasp from someone and then Damon struggling for breath. A figure rushed forward and kneel before her.

"Anni, look at me darling...Rhiannon." The voice said, gently shaking her, "Luv, please wake up."

Slowly, she opened her swollen eyes to see a face she had been waiting on. She smiled weakly as he broke the chains that held her and removed the IV. The figure lifted her up and held her close for a moment before flashing out.

Klaus held Rhiannon close as she whimpered softly, feeling the fever burning against his skin. While she was immortal, Rhiannon was not exempt from being sick or injured. He had to get her better before Elijah found out and killed him for it.

"I will not forget this." Klaus growled, eyeing Stefan and Alaric. "We had nothing to do with this...I didn't even know she existed." Stefan replied. "You had me fooled...My niece is an innocent." He said, angry tears in his eyes.

He left quickly and headed back to the mansion where he could tend to Rhiannon's injuries. Klaus just hoped that Elijah would not find out how badly she was injured. They would make them suffer for what they did at a later time.

"Nik what took...bloody hell!" A female voice breathed. "Get me damp cloths and some warm water." Klaus replied, looking at her. "Of course...where was she?" She asked. "Stefan had her...Rebekah, please do it quickly." Klaus asked, his voice desperate.

She quickly grabbed the water and wash cloth before helping him clean her wounds. Her heart clenched as she heard Rhiannon whimper in pain, wishing sooth it. Rebekah looked at Klaus, wondering what to do. If she had known that she was there, she would never had agreed to help Mikael.

"Nik...Damon and Stefan want me to help them kill you...They woke father...if he finds Rhiannon...he'll kill her." Rebekah said. "I know...why do you think she's so bloody...we'll handle him...I just need you to stay with her." Klaus replied. "Of course...she's in pain Nik...we have stop it." Rebekah said, feeling her shake beneath her hand.

Klaus found some medication for Rhiannon and got her changed into warm pajamas before putting her to bed in his brother's room. She seemed to settle beneath the warm fabric, smelling his scent on the blanket. He and Rebekah stayed at her side, watching as she slept, peaceful for the first time in nearly six months. In the morning, they would have to get in contact with someone who could get her medicine and an IV for fluids. They just hoped that they would get her better before Klaus woke Elijah.

"Sleep little one, we'll be here when you wake." Rebekah whispered, holding her hand. "Daddy?" She murmured, the feverish daze taking hold. "Just rest...all will be better soon." Klaus replied, kissing her warm forehead.
