Maze internally rolled her eyes at how extra that name was but it was kind of cute.

Maze was the only reason why spooky got an iPhone, once she couldn't get a hold of him and she cursed him out so bad he got an iPhone so he could share his location with her.

She had yet to hear from Ellae, she wasn't too worried though she had a bi-weekly game night with her friends planned. Everyone was going to be there except Kyan because Journey was working late and she didn't want her baby with a sitter for a second night in a row which was completely understandable. Maze always enjoyed their game nights because she wasn't very competitive but everyone else was so it angered them that she didn't care but also rarely lost. Even Virgil was coming and he rarely did social gatherings but they loved him anyways, he wasn't into clubs or drinking like their usual activities but game night, movie night and chill events was his favorite.

The main reason he doesn't hang out with them too much is because he had a huge crush on Spooky and ended up getting super wasted and tried to make out with him and spooky just turned his head and told him it wouldn't work out because he was straight.  Virgil didn't handle it very well and was completely mortified once he sobered up. He became distant with the whole group after that.

After her last meeting of the day she dreadfully passed her supervisors office to just inform them she was leaving.

"I'm done for the day Ms. Lockhart, See you tomorrow!" Maze spoke in one breath while not slowing down her pace.

"Oh! Maze, do you have a moment?" the older woman smiled softly showing a sh*t-eating grin.

"Sure! Whats up?"

"I got an interesting email from one of our students that said you were texting during a session? I find that very unprofessional. please try to keep your focus on helping your students and not engaging in personal matters. you are here to help them, not waste their time, okay? you think you can do that?"

'b*tch.' Maze thought to herself.

"oh! of course, have a nice evening Miss."

Maze's supervisor had it out for her ever since she had found out Maze was looking at other jobs of a higher position at one of their rival colleges. She only worked there as a starter, she never thought this woman would sabotage her chances of moving up in her career so she was currently stuck. She knew for a fact no student had emailed her, she probably just passed by and saw her or mostly likely made it up. Ms. Lockhart brought nothing but irritation to Maze but she didn't have the funds to just quit her job  because she was uncomfortable. She wasn't raised like that plus she had discussed this exact issue with Ellae and he told her to stick it out because soon Ms. Lockhart would realize how professional she was wouldn't have any complaints.

She changed into something more comfortable then headed to Nico and Alize's apartment. In the Uber she sent Ellae a text saying where she was headed even though he hadn't even texted back since that afternoon.

A few hours later the whole group was in an intense uno game, blood and tears were shed but no one had won yet.

"How the fuck did you cut yourself on an uno card dude?" Nico cackled wiping her eyes trying to stop her mascara from running as Virgil put a bandaid on Skies.

"Yo shut the fuck up! if you guys didn't give me half the fucking deck it wouldn't have happened!" he wined.

"Hurry up! I wanna finish this game so we can start Life, Ima have all y'all hoes on the poor farm!" Alize said with a smirk.
