He can hear the cluttering pans and shattering glasses. Shouts and painful cries echoed all over the house as little steps tried running down the stairs to check what it was. He can see his sisters crying while hugging the legs of their father, while his mother was busy pulling her daughters away from the said man.

"Mama, what's going on?"

The pillar of the house turned around as she watched her youngest child standing at the last step of the stairs.

"Bas, come to mama."

The youngest child not knowing anything just obeyed his mother's order as he felt his body being lifted and engulf into a warm hug.

"Mae, Meljin, JiJi let go of your dad now! You don't want to be with someone who chooses another person other than us, right?" their mother uttered as she tried pulling Mae away from her husband.

"Stop pulling them away, you're hurting the kids." Her husband uttered calmly. The said man hugs his children and kisses their cheeks.

"now go to Mama and help her, okay?" the head of the family uttered as he hugs his kids for the very last time, he gave Bas a sad smile as he wanted to hug the youngest, but he's tucks in the safety of his mother.

"Papa, if you love us why are you leaving us?!" Mae shouted as she cried her hearts out, she doesn't fully comprehend what's going on, what can an 11-year-old kid do anyway?

"P'Meljin say something, don't let papa go!" Jiji cried as she hugs her oldest sister who just cried in silence as she watches the family, she cherished the most gets separated. She wanted to say something but what will she say? She's just a child and she respect her parents even if it hurts her or her siblings.

The head of the house pulled her 2nd oldest kid as he helps her stand up and wipe her tears "It's going to be fine, you're a strong girl, right? You will help your Phi and your Nong." He uttered

"just leave..." their mother uttered as she turned her back against her ex-husband

Bas just stared at the closed door as he watches his sisters and mother cried in silence

"Mama, why did Papa go?" 5-year-old Bas asks while staring at his mother's face

"Because Mama didn't love him enough, he had to find someone who can love him more than I can do."

Bas jolted from his sleep when he heard his name being yelled out so loudly early in the morning. He groaned when he felt that impending headache seeping into his nerves. He sighed as he looked around and saw that it was almost 7AM. He immediately stood up and grab his towel as he run down the stairs.

"Told you he won't wake up no matter how hard we call his name, unless you shout it on top of your lungs!" Jiji - his 3rd eldest sister stated while shaking her head nonstop when Bas comes into view. She was busy mixing her coffee while carrying a 2-year-old baby using her other arm.

Bas just rolled his eyes as he grabs a bottled water from the freezer while pinching the cheeks of his nephew.

"You could have come into my room and wake me up instead of shouting, P'Ji." Bas answered while he greeted his niece who was busy eating breakfast.

Ji scoffed as she passed the 2-year-old kid to Bas who immediately carried his nephew and kisses his cheeks "you ask P'Mae if I haven't done that for the last 30 minutes." Was her answer
