According sa organizer, this will benifit the Cotolengo Filipino, an orphanage for special children. It's a private institution kaya sa mga donations lang sila umaasa.
"As I was saying, this play will be held at the PICC on February 14. After the gala night, the play will run for 3 saturday nights. Costumes and stage props and parafernalias will be made by the College of Fine Arts. Any more question?" Marcus queried. Most of the artist shook their heads so he continued. "Okay, since wala na kayong tanong, let's start. Magkakaroon muna tayo ng mga exercise para magkakilala din naman kayo. After that, we'll give out the script."
For the next 3 hours, nagkaroon lang kami ng mga exercises. It was fun while it lasts. Sabi nga nila, masama ang masyadong maging masaya.
"Guys, look here. Meet Adrian. He'll be the protagonist of the play." I was too busy talking to the guy next to me, so I wasn't able to hear when Marcus called my name.
"Sari. Tinatawag ka ni Kuya Marcus," sabi ng gaganap na Lady Capulet.
"Ay, sorry!" I looked up to Marcus.
"Juliet, meet your Romeo."
The troupe reacted with how he introduced me my partner with 'yun oh!', 'bagay!' and someone even whistled! I gathered myself and cleared my throat then looked up to my leading man.
"Hi," Adrian said. His eyes were twinkling. "I believe we've met."
I was too shocked to respond that my co-actors started teasing me again. Sabi nila na-love struck daw ako. Gwapo naman kasi talaga si Adrian. Tall, tan and handsome. He has bright blue eyes na siguro pag natitigan mo, pwede kang malunod. He has that set of pearl white teeth na akala ko eh pino-photoshop lang sa mga toothpaste commercial.
"You did? Where?" tanong ni Marcus.
"Yup. Men's bathroom. He entered and used the wrong bathroom."
"That was a mistake. I was in a hurry so I wasn't able to check if I entered the right bathroom or in that case, not. Don't worry, I won't do that again if you worry too much about being peeped," I said with visible annoyance. Sayang, gwapo pa naman. Pero yung ugali? Di ko gusto. Super straight forward.
We need to be back at 1 to get the script tapos may isa pang activity daw ulit. So ayon, I got my bag and started to head for the door when Adrian grabbed my arm.
"Hey. Are you mad?"
"Do I look like mad to you?"
He scratched his head and said yeah.
"Look, I don't know what's with you that you need to tell everyone I used the wrong bathroom. If it's not a big deal to you, well, it is to me. You just embarrassed my ass earlier."
"Look, I'm sorry for being an ass. I wasn't thinking. Maybe I could make it up to you? We're going to work together for the play. It's important to me. And of course, I don't wanna ruin it just because of my insensitivity. Let me treat you to lunch. Please?''
We walked out of the campus and drove to the mall. It's just a 15-minute drive lang naman from school. He pulled me sa isang fine dining restaurant but I refused.
"No, not there."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want to. Where else have you eaten aside from fine dining restaurants?"
He shrugged and looked at me like I'm talking gibberish.
"Ugh. I don't to eat there," I told him. "Hindi naman nakakabusog dyan eh."
"Hmm. Sabagay."
It was my turn to be stunned. "Nag-tatagalog ka?"
"Oo naman. Pilipina ang mother ko. And she made sure na marunong kami mag-tagalog. My father even knows how to speak tagalog."
So, naintidihan nya pala yung sinabi ko na gwapo sya? What the!
