Heart of A Woman

Excerpt From Part 2

Xavier put me in the tub and allowed me to relax for a minute in the hot bubble bath while he went into the room to get my night clothes together. Before I knew it, I was asleep and my body was totally relaxed. I was awakened to a loud thud and when I called out to Xav, he did not respond then I heard a vase fall and crash to the floor. I jumped out of the tub so fast I almost slipped on the wet floor. I grabbed my bath towel and ran into the bedroom but didn't see Xav.

I went into the wall safe in my closet and took out my gun and slowly walked to the hallway. I looked down the stairs but did not see anything but as I was getting farther down the stairs, I heard another vase crash to the floor. Just then I put all fear aside and called out to Xavier again. This time I saw what all the commotion was....Xavier and some guy were tussling in my living room. I screamed for them to stop or I would shoot him. Then I let off a round and both of them stopped. When the guy looked in my direction, Xavier laid him out with a haymaker then told me to call the police. As I was walking to get the phone, Nicole came running in with her gun cocked, loaded and ready to go.

"What the hell is going on in here?!?"

"It's ok girl, Xav knocked him out."

"Bae before you call the police, bring me that rope out of the closet."

I grabbed the rope, walked back in to see Xavier placing the guy into the chair and I handed him the rope to tie him up with. Once he was fully tied up, Xavier slapped him a few times to wake him up. Dude came back to consciousness and realized he was tied up, he looked in my direction and just stared at me.

"Who are you and who sent you?" Xavier said to him with anger in eyes.

"I ain't got nothing to say to you nigga. I was told to only talk to her." he nodded to me.

I walked over to him and pointed my chrome 45 in his face and asked, "What kind of stupid mother fucker are you to come into my home and put my family in danger? You must have a death wish?"

"Naw, you wanna talk nigga, you talk to the man of the house which is me. So what the fuck you want you dumb motherfucka?"

"According to my knowledge, Mike is the man of THIS house nigga!" the stranger said with so much cockiness in his voice then Xavier punched him in the mouth, causing his head to cock to the left.

"Did Mike send you to my house?" I asked with even more anger while cocking my gun.

"I ain't telling you who sent me, I'm just going to relay the message. And the message is, 'Don't do it Cheeks' that's all I got to say." then he stopped talking and started to choke.

Then we heard him crack something in his mouth and swallowed hard, causing him to start foaming at the mouth then he passed out. I checked for his pulse and there was none. Whatever the message was, it was meant to be given then nothing more was to be said if he got caught so there could not be traced back to anyone. But he said the magic words that only Xav and I knew. He called me by my nickname that only Mike called me which gave me all the info I needed to proceed with my next plan.
