¡ TW warning ¡ gore is described. this chapter isn't needed for the whole story, so if you aren't comfortable with reading that kinda thing then you can skip.
[first name] was currently missing, her face on the news and missing posters everywhere posted everywhere. her classmates were devastated, and immediately rushed to show aizawa once they had heard the recorded audio.
aizawa had listened to it, and even the stoic man had a shocked expression. he went to the police and filed a missing person file and ordered an investigation. after that, even present mic and him began to look for her themselves.
a week later and the investigation was still going on, no sign of the girl anywhere. no one had much hope anymore, because if someone is gone for longer than 5 days there wasn't much of a chance you'd find them again.
on one particular day, class 1-A was in their respective classroom. but it didn't feel like it. it was empty, cold, as though there wasn't a living being in sight. even though everyone was sitting in their seat, their minds were elsewhere.
aizawa was teaching at the front of the class, but even he didn't seem quite the same. the cold atmosphere was interrupted by a ringing sounds coming from aizawa's phone. nodding to his students, he excused himself and answered his cellphone, exiting out the classroom door.
the class murmured to one another, aware that it must've been important due to aizawa-sensei leaving the room to pick it up. although no one really knew who it was, that didn't stop them from making assumptions and guesses.
"they found her."
the teacher had entered without no one noticing, voice void of emotion.
no one had to ask what that meant, deep down they already knew. "the police are coming to ask you all questions."
aizawa sat in his desk, head in his hands. [first name] was such a bubbly and happy girl, who tried her best for everyone. the teacher couldn't believe one of his brightest students was gone.
the investigators came in through the giant door, looking at the students. "mr. aizawa, may we have a word with you in the hall?" he calmly asked. aizawa only nodded, aggressively standing up.
the black haired man and the two investigators went into the hall, and the man in the police uniform pulled out a file.
"you don't mind looking at disturbing images, do you? her death was brutal, so if you aren't comfortable-" he was cut off.
"just show them."
the police workers nodded uncomfortably, opening the file to show the picture. aizawa's usually dead eyes widened in shock as he observed the photo shown to him.
the world around aizawa shouta stopped,
at least, he wanted it too.
all three men came back into the classroom. aizawa cleared his throat, "alright, these men are going to question you one by one. answer honestly and appropriately."
the students were taken into one of the offices in the school, so they could be privately spoken to, as they tried their best to answer as best as they could. the investigators left and the students were sitting in their desks, quiet - even bakugou.
aizawa left to use the bathroom, leaving the file on his barren desk.
"guys, she's our friend! we have to know what happened!" kirishima brought up, trying to convince everyone to look in the file.
"but it isn't right!" iida argues back.
some of the students agreed with kirishima to look, while others agreed with iida to just keep quiet.
"remember when you helped us go save bakugou? isn't this the same? she's our friend, we have the right to know!" the redhead countered back, wanting to know what happened.
"this is not the same as that!" iida's arm chopped.
"stop. why don't those who want to look go ahead while those who don't just stay back? there, solved it." todoroki, of all people, broke up the argument.
kirishima, ochako, momo, kaminari, todoroki, ashido, tooru, sero, bakugou, tokoyami, and jirou went to look. the rest of the class stayed back.
midoriya badly wanted to see what happened to his best friend, but he also could bare to see what had happened. he knew that if he saw the file his heart would break more, possibly beyond repair. the boy couldn't bring himself to look.
the group who decided to look at the file grabbed it and took it to the corner of the classroom. they all paled at what they saw. most felt instant regret as their eyes rested on the photo, but curiosity killed the cat, right?
[first name] was lying on the ground, in an area with long grass everywhere. a knife was planted in one of her eyes and the other eye on the laid ground beside her. most likely to keep her from using her quirk to fight back.
her right leg was cut to the bone, literally. her nose had dried blood on the side of it and so did her open mouth.
her left arm was bent in a way that arms shouldn't bend, and her clothes were covered in dark red dried blood. her shirt was up and exposed her bra, and there were multiple bullet holes in her stomach.
all the students gaped. but what was also noticeable was the pieces of paper all around her, each with sentences on them.
the clearest one was on her stomach, which read, let's see who's so sweet now.
it didn't take long for the other students to take a look soon after, (other than midoriya), hesitant but curious. although, they wished they hadn't.
ochako began vomiting everywhere on the floor as she stared at the picture, and momo had fainted. everyone was in a mass hysteria of panic as they saw the fate of one of their closest friends.
it was absolutely terrifying, who would do such a thing to an innocent young girl?
their sweet, sweet classmate, who was now gone forever. why couldn't things have been different?
her words resonated with each and every one of them. she would never be forgotten.
those were the last messages from [first name] [last name], the sweet girl from class 1A, who just wanted to be a hero.
