Chapter 1

{ Lucy's P.O.V }

Natsu came running up to me one morning, Happy trailing behind him.

"Hey, Luce! We got a job!" Natsu grinned. "It's worth enough jewel for your rent!"

"Great," I smiled back, getting up. "What's the job?"

"There's a dark guild with a really powerful wizard who's been tormenting travellers," Erza replied, coming towards them, Gray behind her.

"Sounds good," I told them, grinning and flashing them a thumbs up.

This guy was proving to be a hell of a lot difficult then we'd thought.

He had sent shadow creatures chasing after Happy, and had demons attacking Erza and Gary. Natsu was chasing after Happy, trying to burn the shadows to a crisp.

Then, all of a sudden, I was thrown backwards by a blinding light.

My head hit a tree, hard, and I blacked out for a second.

Groggily, I opened my eyes, and saw the guy staring down at me.

"Well, hello there, doll."

I felt disgusted the way his eyes roamed over my body. "Get away from me, creep!"

I crawled backwards. I looked around, but my team was nowhere to be found.

"What happened to my friends?" I yelled at the man. He grinned manically. "You don't need to worry about them anymore. You have me now."

He sat on stomach, straddling me. "My name is Shade. And I've been looking for you a long time, girlie."

"Get off me," I gasped, struggling to get free, but he was way too strong. That's when I saw the knife in his hand. Cringing, I tried to break free, and he pinned down one of my arms.

"Sit still, my pretty lady," he grinned, his black eyes burning into my own. He had a wicked look in his eyes.

He put the knife against my chest, slowing cutting away the fabric of my shirt.

"You sick pervert!" I screamed, fighting against him, but he kept on slowly cutting it off.

I slapped him across the face with my free hand. I didn't see him punch me, but I felt it. I screamed from the pain.

{ Natsu's P.O.V }

I was burning the shadow monsters to crisps when I heard her scream. I knew that scream well.

"LUCY!" I yelled, running in the direction of the noise; Happy flying beside me.

{ Third person P.O.V }

Shade had Lucy's arm in a tight grip.

"Stop screaming, or I'll break your arm," he growled.

Lucy could hear Natsu yelling for her. Sucking in air, she yelled, "NATSU!"

Shade grabbed her arm in a flash and snapped it in half. The girl shrieked and tried to inch away, tears running down her face.
