A Fool's Curse

The phone call

I hang up the phone and look out the window as I sit down at my desck. It has started to rain, and all of the clues that hasn't been found untill now will wash away. The phone rings again and I look at the display, it's Daniel. I pick up and before I can say anything he speacks "Don't get out of your office, do you understand?" I don't know what to say so I just nod, knowing he can't see me. "Rose? Do you understand what I'm saying?" Again I nod but this time I open my mouth. "What's going on?" "You know the Hulder you saw earlier today, she must have followed you! She is in the building!" That just put everything in gear for me and I walk out to the resetion to see if Bella have left for the day. "Bella isn't here, I think she left as I walked in, did anyone see her leaving?" I hear some muffled talking and then he is back. "Lucas saw her leave." "Good, now what? I'll just wait untill you all just storm the building?" again some muffled speaking and he is back. "We are sending in the girls, the Hulder won't hurt them, see you soon Love." And then he hangs up, and now it's just a waiting game.

Only a few minutes passes and I hear footsteps outside my door. I look up and I can see yellow eyes looking back at me and I take a breath of relife, it's one of the SMPD people and I flash my eyes back at her and I can see her open the door and nods for me to follow after her. I get up and does as she motions me to do. "Did anyone spot her?" I whispered to her and she just shakes her head and keeps on walking to the hallway and down some stairs and out. Once we are out I can see Daniel looking worried and I just run over to him and hugs him. "How many did you send in?" I look up at him. "Only around ten people." He dosn't take his eyes away from the building and takes a breat of relife when he sees the rest come out with the Hulder. I look over and see it too. "Who is going to talk with her first? Me or your people?" I lokk back up at him knowing what answer I'll get in return. "That is up to Leo to deside." I mouth the words as he sais them and he chuckles seing what I did. "I know, but try to put in a word for me so I can get to her first, I need to know why she followed after me." He nods as his answer and looks back to the girls putting her in to a van and drives off. 

That evening I spen't curled up on the couch and sipping some wine. Yes I know I can't get drunk but I like the taste. While I sipped my wine I got a text from the same woman that called me earlier. She wrote that; She knows that her boyfriend would never leave her like he did, that something must have happened to him. I'm not working right now but I just answered her with that I was gonna look in to the case and update her along the way. Once the text was sent Danile came out from the bathroom and went straight to bed  I finished my wine and followed after him. "Long day?" I asked when I got in bed and curled up. "Mhm." That's all I got, he was to far gone in to dream land that there wasn't any use to try to talk to him. Smiling I snuggled close to him and tried to fall asleep.
