I'm stranded.
Deserted.
Alone.
Left to fend for themselves.
In the unknown.
Alone.
I turn and look around me.
The ocean stretches as far as the eye can see.
The cold sand sticks to my feet.
I look up.
Alone.
I see the stars above me.
Shining brilliantly many years away.
The moon guiding me through the night.
Alone.
The feeling of leaves brushing my arms.
The cool breeze tickling my skin.
I begin to walk.
Alone.
The peace of midnight.
When all is quiet.
When all is at rest.
Waiting for the sun to rise and the day to start again.
Alone.
I sit watching the sea.
How the waves push and pull.
One over the other.
How the moonlight glistens over the surface.
Alone.
The sun is coming up now.
Shades of pink and yellow slowly pushing the dark away.
Stars now fading.
Replaced by clear skies.
Alone.
I feel the warm sun on my face.
I smile.
Tears run down my face.
I'm all alone.
