CHAPTER FIVE

IVORY'S POV;

Once we were back at the house, Lia and I went to the hospital, where Ma and Luann were. The doctors decided to go ahead do the surgeries. 

"You ready?" Lia asked as she looked at me, from where she sat on my bed. 

"Yes," I answered, as I smiled at her. 

We went and got into my car, and on the way to the hospital, we passed the boys, who were on their way to do club business. 

"What do you think they're doing?" Lia asked, as she looked at Chibs, who was now speeding away. 

"Getting revenge for their guns being blown up and some taken," I said, knowing more about things because my brother is a blubber mouth when it comes to me. 

"Jax has always told you everything, but Opie wants to keep me away from it all," Lia said as she looked down. 

"Does Op know about Chibby and you?" I asked, knowing that he most likely doesn't know. 

"He knows, Chibby went to him and dad for permission to make me his official old lady," Lia said as she smiled. 

"Awww that's so sweet," I said, smiling at her. 

"Did Hap ask permission?" Lia asked as she looked at me. 

"Yes, and Ma was the first person he asked, then Jax, and then Dad, they all gave their blessing," I said as I smiled. 

"He probably would've made you his old lady, blessing or not," Lia said as she chuckled. 

"Probably," I said as I turned on the radio, and the car filled up with Destiny's Child's Independent Woman. 

Lia and I sang the song all the way to the hospital. 

Once we got there and got inside, Abel's surgeries were already over. 

"How is he?" I asked Ma, and she looked at Lia and me and smiled. 

"Good, he pulled through," Ma said as she smiled big, and then took Lia and my hands and pulled us with her. 

"We going to see him?" Lia asked as she smiled. 

"Yes, baby, let's go," Ma said as we walked to him. 

We stayed there for a while, and then we went home.
