"Why do I have to patrol the Rukongai?" Leo said as he walked on a street surrounded by nice houses, the path itself was nice and tidy "though it's better than cleaning..."

After walking for some time Leo saw four small figures approaching fast, he stopped and put his hand on his Zanpakutō's hilt, he studied the fairly approaching forms.

Leo sighed as he removed his hand from the sword as four kids rushed past him all smiling and giggling "good thing I don't carry around money..." he looked back at the kids "those kids are troublesome" Leo continued patrolling the Rukongai.

"Patrol the Rukongai district?" Leo said in disbelief, Kaname didn't even look up from his work

"Yes that's what I said and you will do it, unless you want me to report to the Sotaichō" Kaname said calmly as he flicked his hand in a motion that said 'get out'

Leo sighed and walked out of the captains office grumbling to himself and made his way to the path that connects the Seireitei and the Rukongai districts.

As he walked out into the Rukongai some of its residents smiled and greeted him warmly that was not said as he passed he the twentieth district some of the residents were glaring at him, making Leo know that soul reapers were not welcome there.

Leo was walking back from his rather unpleasant patrol "I'm never going past the thirtieth district ever again..." he wiped off some dust from his shihakushō "I didn't expect them to attack me..."

He straightened out his uniform and continued walking until he saw a Garganta open four figures and a cat drop out of it "wait... a cat?" He rushed to the place where it opened and saw the figures dusting themselves off

"You sure took your sweet time getting here ichigo" Leo said as he walked closer to the group, all of them turned to Leo.

The cat walked closer to Leo, looking him in the eyes after a few seconds he grinned "good to see you Leo!"

Leo smiled back at the cat "Same here Yoruichi! But I guess there's no time to talk" yoruichi nodded and walked back to the group

"Then what are we waiting for?" Said Ichigo as he walked away from the group in the direction of the Seireitei, but before he could take another step a giant wall fell from the sky, completely blocking the way.

When the dust cleared everyone saw a giant man standing in front of ichigo"it's been a long time since I've had a visitor" the giant man took out an axe and hit the ground with its handle.

"So Jidanbō is guarding these gates huh?" Leo said looking at the giant man

"Jidanbō?" Asked Uryū

"One of the four guardsman, if you want to enter you need to defeat one of them, but such task is not easy, Jidanbō here took this mission 300 years ago" Leo looked at the group "and don't think about rushing in to help, here there's rules... one of them is 'when you duel, you come one at the time' so hope that ichigo wins" Uryū nodded and looked back at the ichigo.

Leo looked at the fight that was happening well more like Jidanbō swinging his axe in a downward slash and ichigo just blocking the attacks, after some time Jidanbō took out an another axe and swung them at ichigo, who in turn broke them and sent the giant flying.

After some crying and talking Jidanbō agreed to open up the gate, when the giant opened the gate all of them could see a figure with silver hair and a snake like smile standing on the other side

"Huh? Who's that?" Ichigo asked

Before ichigo could do anything the figure pulled out his Zanpakutō "pierce them Shinsō" his Zanpakutō extended and hit ichigo with Jidanbō sending them both flying backwards, the figure walked close to the gate and bent down waving "Bye bye" he said as the gates closed

Some villagers came out of their homes and surrounded the group in a semi circle ichigo, Sado, Ishida and Inoue tensed up as they thought they're gonna attack them

"We saw what happened we would like offer some help" an old villager said as he stumbled near them.

After Inoue healed Jidanbō's shoulder they went to the old mans house where they relaxed and talked about the soul society

All of them were sitting in a room silently drinking tea when a man just bursted into the house "what are you doing here Ganju?" Asked the villager

"What can't I stop by to say hello?" He looked around the rooms and his gaze stopped at ichigo "what's a disgusting soul reaper doing here?"

"What did you say?" Asked an irritated ichigo as he walked up to Ganju

"I said wha-" both of their faces were smushed into the ground by Leo who sighed

"Than you" said yoruichi "Now elder do you know Kukaku shiba? I can't find where she currently resides" before the elder could speak up Ganju shot up from the ground

"Why do you want to see my sister?" Shouted Ganju

"So you know her, take us to her" Ganju shot an irritated glance at yoruichi and turned around as if saying 'why should I?'

"I know your sister and I can say some stuff about a captain brother who caused quite a scene" Ganju paled at that

"Alright I'll take all of you to her"
