A cold flowing breeze, birds singing harmoniously, then came a crackling noise, with it becoming increasingly louder and with a single drop of water landing on his face. Band soon became awake, ending his slumber.
Band's drowsy eyes slowly opened and scanned the area. After fully opening his eyes, he felt a rough surface on his back and head, while his lower body rested on the blades of grass.
"Ack!"
A surge of memories came into Band's brain like a ravaging stream. Memories about his past life filled his head to the brim, a certain fragment of memory came along holding importance.
"Brother, you need to take care of yourself, you are always coming so late and waking up early. Who knows when I'll find you dead in a news. Anyways take care."
"Ye-yeah I will."
"Anyways, I'll be going now Lemi."
As I walked outside expecting
"Huh? Why am I alive? Shouldn't I be dead?"
From the moment he said that, memories about his past life suddenly came flooding in. But he questioned himself as to why he said the word "dead" because in his memories he can't find any thing relating to it. All he can remember was his daily life and how he entered this world by stepping into the black void that appeared in the streets. Other than that everything else fades into darkness. In a fit of frustration, he shouted.
"Argh!? That word "death" is confusing me!"
Following with a heavy sigh, he looked to see what was in his surrounding.
Bang decided to venture within the dense forest to clear his mind. As he treaded along the forest, he discovered that every tree has a moss on bark, which almost covered the entire trunk. Weird he thought. While he walked around for hours. He stopped on a certain tree except, the leaves were stripped away and the wood was dark as ebony, but this time the moss covered the entire tree.
"I feel like I have a connection with this tree."
He felt like he lost his mind for a moment there. So he simply just shrugged it off.
"What am I taking about, hah."
But out of curiosity he went and tried to touch the bark.
