TOP 10 Tips for Actually Writing - For the Writers who can't seem to write.
1.) Buy a pencil and paper. Get a program and a keyboard and write.
2.) Spill all your ideas into a notebook or a file on your computer/laptop. Write down literally every idea you have that even sorts of relates to the scene/chapter/book that you want to write until your thoughts converge on a pointed attack.
3.) Quantity over Quality! No doubt about it, Quantity all the way. The more you write, the better you will know your story. Worry about your Quality later when your editing.
4.) Think of it as a story not a book. You aren't writing a book, you're writing a story. A story is much easier to take bites of than a book. A book is big, scary, colossal thing. Stories are fun and carefree.
5.) Let your imagination run wild!
6.) Set crazy low goals. Promise yourself you will write ten words today. Ten words and you will be the best writer in the world! Accomplishing things is a morale booster and urge you to write more.
7.) Firsts draft doesn't have to be perfect. They just have to be written.
8.) Don't get yourself stuck by thinking you have to start at the beginning. Write the portion that you have a clear idea first then work it out from there.
9.) Realism is not always the most important thing. If you're writing fiction, some things are going to be unrealistic. Just put some unrealistic stuff here and there and the overall realism won't be harmed. Keyword: Some
