Once we got to the hospital they took her back into surgery. I sat in one of the uncomfortable chairs in the waiting room for what seemed like years. After about two hours the nurse came out to tell me that she was stable and in a room. She said that i could go and see her. I follow the nurse to her room. She was asleep laying peacefully on the bed. " she should be waking up pretty soon" the nurse says as she walks out of the room. I sit in the seat beside the bed. The nurse must have cleaned her up. Her hair was clean and dry and the blood on her face was gone. She resembled a beautiful porcelain doll. Her skin was regaining color and she look just a shade darker than what she was when i first saw her. She was truly breathtaking. I wonder what her eyes look like. I had caught a glimpse of her eyes before she passed out. She starts to stir in the bed beside me. She then jerks up right in the bed. Slowly looking around, she spots me. " who are you ?" she asks. "My name is Jake Smith, I found you in the woods unconscious. Who are you?" i ask looking into her dark gray eyes. " My name is Winter Everlast, and thank you for bringing me here." she says looking me in the eye. An awkward silence fell upon us. I finally decided to break the silence. "what happened to you?" she looks at me with sad eyes. " its okay if you dont want to tell me I wont force you, i was just curious" i quickly say. she slowly smiles " thank you" she says laying back down. " Do you have a place to go?" I ask " no " she says sadly. " you dont have any family?" "no" "I don't ethier" I say in a sad tone. " you can stay with me till you get back on your feet." I say quitely. I don't know what it is about this girl but somthing tells me I can trust her." are you sure?" she asks with excited eyes." yea I have an extra room at my house on the outside of town." I say smiling up at her. " I would love that" she says beeming a smile at me. the doctor walks into the room. "hello miss I'm glad to see you awake. You're going to be relesed tomorrow morning." he says while looking at the chart at the end of her bed. " I didn't catch you name, could you please tell me?" he ask looking up at her. " You can call me Winter" she states simply. " I am going to give you some pain medication so you can get some sleep." he says and walks out. "I'll be going home to get you room ready,okay?" I say while getting up, but she was already asleep.
