It has been three years since Kopa left the Pride Lands, now Kiara and Kovu are leaders of the Pridelands and they have three cubs named Nama, Shani, and Chaka, also Kion is now the leader of the Lion Guard and he and Fuli have a cub named Kia. One day Kopa went out to find Fuli with her sister Speedy. It has been three hours of walking so Kopa and Speedy decided to rest by a water hole, then Kopa realized that they were in the pride lands so Kopa told Speedy "Speedy, I need to hide somewhere" when Kopa was just about to go and hide when he crashed into Kovu, they started to fight and Kiara could see this from Pride Rock, so she called the lioness and everyone (even Kion, Fuli, Simba, Nala, and all the cubs) ran to Kovu and when Nala stopped Kovu and said "Kopa is that really you?" and Kopa answered with "Mum, Dad, Kion, Kiara it is really me" then Vitani jumped onto Kopa and said "Kopa I've missed you so much"
Kiara had just taken Kopa to pride rock then Kiara said: "Kopa why didn't you come back sooner, we have really needed you, I have needed you?" Kopa said, "I was afraid that Zira..." Kiara interrupted Kopa and said " Zira won't step one paw into pride rock again. Kopa, dad has been having really bad dreams, they start off happy because he is with you but then... Zira comes out of nowhere and attacks you, he tries to help you and no matter what he just can't move." The Kopa Said, "I'll talk to him".
