The Phone

*You get a phone call from Doris. Answer?*

*Lena looks at the phone. She ignores the call*

*The phone rings insistently.*

*Lena still ignores the call. She does NOT want to talk to Goat Mom.*

*The call is Doris Goat Mom. That means you have to pick up the phone. You do.*

"This is Doris. My errands are taking longer than I thought they would.You must wait 5 more minutes.Thank you for being patient."

*You hang up and start walking. Your phone rings. You answer.*

"This is Doris. I found what I was looking for. But before I could take it... A small, white puppy snatched it away. How odd. Do dogs even LIKE cat hair? Err, that is an unrelated question, of course. It will take a little longer. Please understand.

*You hang up and start walking. Your phone rings. Do you answer?*

*Lena thinks this is a long room. She keeps the phone in one hand while doing puzzles with the other.*

*You answer.*

*You hear heavy panting on the other end of the phone...*

(...)

"Bark! Bark! Bark... Bark!"

*You hear a distant voice.*

"Stop, please! Come back here with my CELLPHONE!"

(...)

(Snore... snore...)

*It sounds like a small, white dog is sleeping on the cell phone. You hear a distant voice.*

"Helloooo? Little puppy...? Where are you...? I will give you a nice pat on the head!"

*The snoring stops.*

"... if you return my CELLPHONE."

*The snoring resumes.*

(...)

(Snore... snore...)

"Achoo!"

*It sounds like a small, white dog sneezing in its sleep. You hear a distant voice.*

"Here, pup-pup-puppy! Oh dear, I should not keep my guest waiting any longer.... Oh no, how long has it been since I have talked to them...? Perhaps they have been calling the phone, and...? Here, puppy!"

(Snore... snore...)

(Yawn...)

(Blink blink.)

*You hear a tired voice.*

"Doggie..Here, doggie... Oh dear... I do wonder how they are..."

(Snore... snore...)

*After a few minutes you get a call.*

"Hello? Hello? This is Doris. My apologies. A strange dog kidnapped my phone. So if you called, I could not have helped you. However, I have recovered it. And you are still in that room, are you not? What a good child you are. There are a few puzzles ahead that I have yet to explain."

*Battle noises erupt in the background.*

"I was wondering- pant -if you preferred- pant -Doge haired cookies or- pant -Tem haired cookies? DIE YOU STUPID DEMON! Sorry about that...

*Slicing sounds. *Tem haired or Doge haired cookies?*

*Lena is confused. She doesn't know the difference between the cookies. She is silent.*

*You have a little amount of time and you have to choose. Tem or Doge.*

*Lena is still silent. She doesn't care. And she cannot speak anyways.*

"...Tem haired! That's my favorite! Now be a good child! Bye!"

*The phone is silent.*

*Lena continues.*
