Sayori's Route

  "MC! I've been waiting for you!"

You had just left your house to find Sayori waiting at your door. It's 6AM. Strange. She isn't usually this early...

"Hey, come on! Let's go!"

"Okay, okay."

You walk alongside Sayori at a comfortable pace to school. You glance in her direction and see her rummaging through her bag.

"I can hold that for you," you offer.

"Oh, thanks, but there's no need," Sayori smiles. After some difficulty, she pulls out...a ball of pink thread?

"Uh, what's that?" 

"It's a kitten, MC! Can't you tell?"

You couldn't. You could barely make out its features. You squint at it, and then glance at Sayori. 

"...Nope."

Sayori frowns. "I guess you don't like it, then..."

You felt a twinge of guilt. "N-no, Sayori! I love it! Keep doing what you do!"

Sayori smiles sadly. "You don't have to lie to me, you know."

"Sayori... I'm not lying. I mean your skills do need improvement, but that doesn't mean I hate it."

Sayori looked like she was on the verge of tears. She bit her lip.

"You know, MC... You've been so nice to me. I don't even deserve it...what have I ever done to deserve anyone?"

You kiss Sayori on the forehead gently.

"Sayori...You deserve the world, my bundle of sunshine. Never, ever think otherwise."

She smiles- a bright, genuine smile that warms your heart.

"Let's go, MC."

We walked the rest of the way to school in comfortable silence.
