Prologue

Hello everyone! This is Zombie Academia, a zombie AU for My Hero Academia!

Here's a quick summary of how the zombies will work: If a person who has a quirk gets turned into a zombie, they become unable to control their quirk and it goes haywire. For example, if Iida were to get turned into a zombie, the engines in his legs would be almost non stop. All zombies are killable, but VERY hard to kill.

PLEASE let me know if there's anything I can do better, please comment any typos I make and I will correct them! I will update with Chapter 1 (with a higher word count) as soon as possible, but I do work rather slowly. Thank you guys so much for reading!

It was 7am, and a loud alarm sounded in Izuku's room, causing him to slowly open his eyes. Mustering up the energy, he raised his arm, hitting his alarm clock lazily, making the sound stop.

He sat up in his bed with disheveled All-Might blankets and rubbed his eyes intensely. He let out a sigh and made his way off of his mattress, standing up. He threw on a blue t-shirt and grey sweatpants and slowly made his way down to the first floor of the dorm.

The sun forced it's way through the windows in the living quarters of Class 1-A's dorm, creating a natural lighting. It stabbed Izuku's eyes, causing him to squint and rub his eyes one at a time so he could still see.

He yawned as he heard soft foot steps entering the room, and looked up to see Mina walking slowly with her hair messy and tangled around her horns. "Morning, Deku." She said, sluggishly sitting on the couch in the living area, turning on the tv.

"Good morning, Ashido," he said, clearing his throat, "Do you want me to pour you a cup of coffee? It's quite a shock that you're up so early." He said walking into the kitchen, grabbing the pre-ground coffee powder and putting it into the coffee pot with water.

Mina lazily looked at Deku in the kitchen. "Actually that sounds great, thank you." She said as more foot steps approached.

Uraraka, Bakugou, Todoroki, and Kirishima walked in slowly, congregating in the kitchen to make their breakfast. They all settled for a cereal that consisted of flakes that were coated in sugar and sat down at the table, not saying a word to each other.

The coffee maker made a puttering noise until pot the itself was halfway full of coffee. Izuku grasped the handle and poured coffee into two mugs, bringing them into the living room where Mina was sitting. "Ashido, how come you're up so early?" He asked, handing her a mug full of coffee, sitting next to her.

Mina gazed at him as she took a small sip. "The girls and I were talking about going to the mall today so we could grab some last minute stuff for our field trip tomorrow." She paused. "We told all of the boys as well, but you were already asleep." She finished, sipping her coffee once again, looking back at the T.V.

"Come to think of it, I do need a new water bottle." Izuku said softly, putting his fingers up to his chin, muttering to himself about trip essentials he could buy.

This camp meant everything to any hero-in-training. This is where they will test their quirks and eventually have a battle with all of their teachers at once, and if they won the battle, they would get their full hero licenses to further on their training in the real world. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, the whole thing would be broadcasted similar to the sports festival where pro heroes would try to scout them out.

A very sleepy looking Bakugou screeched his neck over to look at Izuku, the expression on his conveyed anger. "Can it Nerd! Nobody wants to hear your annoying muttering." He shouted from the dining room table. No one in the room reacted to his shouting as it had become a normal thing.
