Chapter 2.

The visit

(Reader's POV)
I kept driving until the GPS led me into town telling me we finally arrived at our destination. Following the instructions my Grandpa gave me I parked a few blocks away just so if anything were to happen I could just run to the car and have a way to escape without anyone knowing.

I walked to the front door and before I could knock the door to my parents house flew open. My heart skipped a beat, I began to feel anxious as I saw a man at the door with brown rugged hair that looked like it wasn't cleaned in years but what caught my attention was his clothes. They were pretty laid back clothing but were extremely dirty and reeked of alcohol. Assuming that this man was my dad which I soon found out was correct made me flinch a little at the thought.

He greeted me to come inside with a smile that I could never forget. This made me down right uncomfortable, what made it worse is when I met my mom though. She was on the couch and when she got up to greet me I just stood their in disbelief that this was in fact my mom. The women looked deranged for christ sake! She had long black hair that looked as if she just got out of bed and her clothes were all white a ripped, someone who walked by might even asume she escaped a mental hospital.

I began to panic, the thought of staying with them for weeks frightened me and quite frankly I just wanted to get out of their as fast as I could. I tried making as excuse for leaving but my "father" grabbed my shoulder with a tight grip and lead me to the couch to sit next to my mom. I sat between them my dad still having a tight grip on my shoulder that was starting to cause a lot of pain. He soon realized and let go and with that I looked forward trying to distract myself with what was on the tv.

The news was on.

Apparently their was a murder right in the forest next to town. The news displayed pictures of a young girls body. The girl was in terrible shape her throat was slit causing blood to drip all over her body which was terrifying in its self to look at but what made this murder more gruesome was the discovery the news made. Her body was their but every organ inside of her was gone...

It was just an empty hollow body with not one thing but bones left inside.

I began to gag, the sight of this just to much to bare. I quickly got up and rushed to the bathroom releasing the vomit building up inside of my throat. That's when I realized the murder happened in the forest the forest where my grandparents went on a trip...

I was at loss for words I couldn't move or breath I began to shake with fear knowing that everything I love was being put at risk.

*knock* *knock* Someone was at the bathroom door. I was about to open it when everything began to feel fuzzy and before I knew it I blacked out on the bathroom tiled floor.
