"have fun"

- this part takes place a few days after their date night -

It was a Friday evening and Joyce Byers was sat at home, alone. She was on the couch staring at the moving pictures on the television, she wasn't paying attention to it. Jonathan was out with Nancy, and Will was staying over at Mike's. So she was free to do whatever she wanted, she thought to herself about why she was sat at home doing nothing, she could be out with her friends or at least having some fun. She decided to get up and switch off the television. She went into Jonathan's room and picked up the stereo, she was going to have fun, even if it was by herself. It took her a while to turn the stereo on - as she wasn't the greatest at technology. She found a song that her and her boys used to dance to and she stood up and swayed to the music. Slowly she became more and more into the song and started dancing properly.

10 or so minutes past, and Joyce was singing and jumping around to the music. When there was a knock at the door. Joyce had had the music turned up too loud so she couldn't hear the knocking. On the other side of the door was Hopper. He could hear music coming from within, so he knocked again. After 5 minutes of standing outside he went to look through the window to see if anyone was in, and of course he then saw Joyce. He smiled at her and admired her 'dancing'. He knocked on the window, for Joyce to swing around and see him, she blushed and giggled.

Joyce opened the door, "How long have you been standing there Mister." she smirked.
"Long enough to see you enjoying yourself," he replied. He stepped inside, "may I join you?" He walked over to the stereo and flicked through the songs until he found a slow-paced one. One they could sway to together.

They both were nose to nose, moving to the song smiling at each other. It was silent- a good silence, a romantic silence. The two of them stayed there for ages, just staring at one another. Joyce rested her head on his chest, making herself comfortable. Whilst Hopper rest his head on top of hers.

Suddenly a crash came through the door as it violently swung open. Jonathan and Nancy sped through the doorway, kissing. Joyce and Hopper separated and just stared at the two teenagers. They hadn't yet realised they were standing there. Jonathan and Nancy continued to make out, "*cough cough*" Hopper gave them a stern yet smiley look, the two immediately stood up straight and looked towards the two parents. "M-mom? I- I thought you were going to be out?" Jonathan stuttered, he was embarrassed. Nancy just stood there in shock. Joyce then walked towards Jonathan, she kissed him on the cheek, "you two have fun," she whispered, then she grabbed Jim's hand and ran out the door to the car. Jonathan and Nancy still stood there trying to contemplate what happened- they just broke through the door, made out in front of his mom, didn't speak, stand there like an idiot and look like a melon. Nancy look up at Jonathan and giggled.
