It was a cold day and a pale-skinned girl was happily making her way down the street towards the local shop. Her mother wanted her to buy more paper. The girl could not understand why her mother didn't want to pick it up herself. It puzzled her. The only reason she agreed to go was that she wanted to see the town. It was a small town. Not particularly the type where everybody knows everybody, but it was small enough where news spread fast. She wanted to see what people would say and how they react. It was fun for her.
Every so often someone would walk by and recognized her.
"It is such a shame that something like this has happened," is a common thing people would say. It started to annoy the girl. Sure, she did enjoy hearing people talk about it, but it was more fun when they talked amongst themselves, thinking she couldn't hear them. It was quite entertaining watching people talked as if they knew him. It took a lot of courage to not laugh out loud, after all, this isn't the time to be happy, is it? It just bothered her that some people come up to her, and act all friendly. It seemed like a waste of both their days. It seemed pointless. Of course, she would always reply with something sad. It's the standard reaction to such comments.
She dropped the pack of papers at the check-out station. It was a small store, with only about three check-outs. She had gone to this place many times when she was a kid. She had many fond memories here with her mother. It was almost pitifully to see her mother in that state.
'Even with what happened, it is not that hard to pick up some damn pa-' Her thought was interrupted by the Cashier.
"I am very sorry for you. This whole situation is such a tragedy. I wish you the best, and I hope they find him soon," The women stuffed the package of paper into a bag and handed it over to the girl.
'Tragedy.'
"Thank you," She said, almost like a robot. She has said this so many times it was just automatic at this point, "I have no other words to say other than thank you."
'Tragedy my ass. If anything, this is the best thing that has happened to this fricking town.'
She walked out of the store, head down, and sad eyes. She felt as if the more she had done this the better she had gotten at it. It was almost like a game. If she won, she got sad looks and sympathy from the public, if she lost, it was game over. She did not want a game over.
Not even 3 minutes from leaving the store, she saw it. She was surprised that it had taken her so long to find one. They seemed to be everywhere now. She took a step closer to it.

Attached the poster was a picture of Ollie, smiling at the camera. She hated his face, and she hated his stupid smile. She wanted to tear it off the wall. There were cameras in the area, and they would see her. It would be suspicious, and she doesn't want to raise suspicion. What cameras couldn't see was a smile that she had been trying to hide from everyone around her. Everything about this was amusing to her. She thought it was funny how they were searching for a boy they would never find. She looked away from the poster and walked home.

What is crackalackin my fellow weebs? This is my first story, so there may be some writing errors. It would be very helpful if you could give me some feedback! Of course, you don't have to give me feedback, but if you want to you can. Also, this prologue may be a bit confusing, but the following chapters will explain somethings. This is getting a bit wordy so I will just shut up now. Catch you on the flip side, my dudes!
