Sitting in my room, listening to Cuco, my favorite artist, I wonder what it would be like to be a real musician. Never in my life would I ever think that I could become someone famous or somewhat a celebrity. I would love to, but it just wouldn't happen. I have a decent voice but I'm not dumb, my voice isn't the best. I don't really know if I'll be more than just a 16 year old girl who sits in her room and writes songs that will never become something more than just words on paper.

But anyways... today I'm alone, as usual. Mom is at work, brother at college. I decide to go on my phone and sEe WhAtS uP. I check my dms on Instagram and see sadly only one message, but it's form my favorite person so who cares.

Jackie: bruh we need to hang out soon

Me: dude ik but when?

Jackie: can u hang out right now?

Me: I'm sorry, but no. My mom and brother both have the cars.

Jackie: PFFT... Trinity u know I can drive

Me: Ight bet.

About ten minutes have passed by and I can see Jackie pulling into the driveway through my window.

Car honks

Jeez, now everyone in the neighborhood is going to know she's here.
I run downstairs and to Jackie's car but getting my wallet out before I slip out the door, locking it behind me.

Jackie rolls down her window, "Hey ugly."

I hop into the car, and wave, "Right back at you roach."

We both laugh and she starts backing out of the driveway.

"Sooo...where are we going to?" I ask as she takes a right on the road.

Jackie says, "So I was thinking... there's this party tonight and I thought we could go shopping and get dresses and stuff."

"You know I'm not into parties Jackie!"

"Yes, I know, but it's the last week before school starts back again. Come on Trinity!! It will be fun."

I contemplate on whether or not I should go. I've never really gone to a party, just not the type who likes to get black out drunk I guess. But she's right.. it is the last week before summer ends, maybe I should just go, be a teenager for once.
"Fine," I sigh.

Jackie claps her hands, "YAYYY, LIL TRINITY GROWING UP."

"Keep your hands on the wheel."

"Oh, right."

20 minutes have gone by and we are parked outside of "Seaview Mall". We head inside and look for clothes to wear to the party.

Jackie picks up a mini black dress. "Would this look good on me? I know it's a bit short but yolo."

I look at her, she has beautiful dark brown curly hair and caramel colored skin which is beautiful compared to my ghostly skin complexion and say, "Dude ur an actual goddess, literally anything will look gorgeous on you."

"You're right," we both laugh.

Ahhhh. I can't find anything. Nothing looks good on me, or fits right. I pick up the only think I haven't tried on yet, mostly because I'm in fear of it being too skin showy.... yet I try it on just to see. It's a red dress that has a DEEP v line and the bottom of it is so short that my butt is practically hanging out of it.
