{2} will byers

a/n: so, this isn't really a will x reader there's a plot twist, so enjoy!

i grab the empty glass pop bottle, and spin it. max, lucas, will, el, dustin, suzy, mike, and i were all playing spin the bottle in mike's basement. the bottle lands on dustin. suzy doesn't look too happy. we peck each other on the lips quickly. the boys did not wanna kiss each other, but they did anyways. will acted kinda weird after it.

"see ya guys tomorrow!" i say as will and i walk out of the wheeler house. we live beside each other, so we walk together to our houses. we walk in silence for a bit while the cool, night air breezes. i have had a crush on will for awhile now, but i'm way too scared to tell him. "y/n. i have to tell you something." will says stopping.

i start getting nervous. "i-i have to tell you something too. you go first." i say. i should tell him how i feel. "when we were playing spin the bottle, i felt something. something i had never felt before, not so strong at least." he says. "what? i'm confused." i say, furrowing my eyebrow. he sighs. "when i-i kissed mike, i felt all mushy inside. but when i kissed like el, or you i felt nothing." he says.

my heart dropped. i swallowed the lump, forming in my throat. "w-what? mushy inside? like did his breath stink that bad?" i say, half laughing. "no y/n! i-i like boys!" he yells, making me shocked. "i-i'm sorry." he says putting his hand on my shoulder.

the lump in my throat gets harder and harder to swallow by the minute. "don't be. i'm h-happy for you will." i say faking a smile. "thank you! now what did you have to tell me?" he says smiling, as we continue to walk. "i forgot, it wasn't that important." i say. "oh okay, we'll see ya y/n!" he says happily running off to his home.

i walk inside mine, feeling the tears swell up in my eyes. i will learn to accept it sooner or later. just not now.
