[Toni Topaz POV]: My 17th birthday has just passed and I made the decision to leave foster care. I want to start my own life. I wanted to leave. Now, I left and I don't know what to do. I am currently staying at a small motel by myself. The only thing I brought from that place is my bike. Well, tomorrow I start high school, real high school. I will be starting my senior year. I am a little ahead since I have done lots of homeschooling but, it should still work. In a few minutes the principal will show me around the school. Yeah I'm excited, I guess, but what will people think of me. Will they not like my hair, my skin tone, my body, my personality? Will they not like me?

[Toni Topaz POV]: It is the first day of school. I am nervous but excited. I am excited because I will finally be able to make friends and maybe even find love. I am nervous because, well, what if I can't? It's almost time to go so I quickly put my purple flannel on my black T-shirt. Time for the ups and downs of Riverdale High.

[Toni Topaz POV]: Principle Weatherbee said the first day would just be an explore/free day. We can go to our classes if we want, but we can also visit the library, gym, locker rooms, ect. Reading is basically the only thing I am passionate for so, I decided to go to the library.

[Cheryl Blossom POV]: Another year, more sadness, more bullying. I got my braces off during the summer so hopefully that will help but, I don't know anymore. Sometimes I feel like Jughead and Reggie will never stop. Reading and taking care of my dear Nana Rose is the only thing that keeps me going. Today is the first day of senior year. Every year, the first day is a free day where you can explore your new classes, and for new people, to explore the school. I always go to the library on the first day because, I love books. Books just make me feel like I am escaping this horrid world, like I am in a happy place, like I am in love. I love romance novels, those are my favorite. They just give me so much joy.

[Cheryl Blossom POV]: Here it comes. The first bell of junior year rings. I see them Reggie Mantle, his squad of dumbasses, and through them, I see the worst, Jughead Jones. He is the only one who has figured out my secret besides heather and Nana Rose. He never lets me forget about it. Reggie has always just called me a dork and pushed me around. I absolutely HATE both of them. Sometimes I wish i was with my dearest brother JJ instead of here. Before they can notice me, I rushed to the library. It's old but it still works. No one goes there anymore but me. The librarian even knows my name and sometimes talks to me. Her name is Katherine and she is the closest thing I've had to a friend in Riverdale high. I walk into the library greeting Katherine. She waves,
"Hi Cheryl! It's been so long! How've you been?""Fine", I replied, "Have you gotten any new books this year?"
"Actually, surprisingly, we've got some!" She responds. "Here why don't you look around while I pick out a few ones I think you'll like."
"Ok", I replied.

[Toni Topaz POV]: As I was slowly walking to the library, I noticed a girl speeding somewhere. Not any girl. That girl. It was that girl that caught my eye. It was that girl who had the stunning long locks of fiery red hair tucked back in a beautiful French braid. That girl who had the skin as pale and beautiful of a porcelain doll. That girl who had hidden behind an adorable pair of glasses, the eyes, brown beautiful eyes, that look as if they were two shining stars, as if they were the color of love, as if they had the soothing sensation of a cool spring breeze. That girl who had those gorgeous plump lips that were covered in red lipstick. That girl who had that body, the body of a goddess, with those perfect curves. She was perfect, everything about her was perfect. Those few seconds I saw her walk by, I noticed everything. I needed her, I craved her.
———————————————————————————
[Toni POV]: After zoning out for some time, thinking about that girl, I caught myself and continued walking to the library, still thinking about that girl, that perfect girl. I found my way to the library and this nice elderly lady greeted me.
