The box reminded her of something, or rather someone. Herself maybe. Broken, battered on the inside but perfectly okay on the outside except for the tiny smudge on the top left corner. It came at just the right time too, when her life seemed to be just as out of control that she needed to be fixed and quick. Maybe this box had all the answers, if only Emily dared to open it. She raced to her living room couch, and tore the box open. Inside was a button and a note. It read
Emily, every time you want something to change about yourself or your life, press this button, and it will make everything better. just a warning thoug-
The battered brown note had cut off, ripped at the bottom. What was the warning? Who sent the note? Emily questioned. Putting that thought aside she thought about her life right now. She hated how she always procrastinated and let others control her. Without a thought she pressed the button, and quickly went to sleep.
When Emily awoke, her phone buzzed with a notification from twitter.
"Vice President Harry Quinn has died at the young age of 25. It is unknown how he has died but foul play is suspected, the FBI is investigating"
Emily quickly looked at the button and back at her phone and fainted.
