Extinct in 2026

The Discovery Begins

Marie wakes up at 8 the next morning on a Saturday; she goes to take a shower and gets a cup of coffee. She has quite a bit of messages from family explaining that they can make it today. "Awesome detective Marie is a go!" She exclaims.
She calls Axel to let him know that they can do it today. She makes some waffles for breakfast and puts on a random show to watch. They all were going to have lunch together and go to Vexen Corp. The building is kinda like a hospital but people don't really stay in there unless they die. The employees put them in a room until the ambulance comes, and what's weird is it's not a normal ambulance. It's white with a weird blue design like it's part of Vexen Corp.
They all meet up to get lunch, Axel gets there first he's average hight, he has black hair, green eyes, and he's pretty slim. Marie's sister then gets there; her name is Janelle she's very short, long brown hair, hazel eyes, and slim considering she had a child 7 years ago, but she's with a babysitter. Marie's second sister shows up her names Renee she's the same height as Marie, long blonde hair, with bright blue eyes, and slightly chubby, and she had a child 10 years ago. A few other family members came and they all ate lunch then headed to Vexen Corp.
It takes about an hour to get there an employee gives them a warm welcome in and has them sit down and wait for around 10 minutes.
"Alright are you all going in together?" he asks.
"We can do that,"Marie asked back " I thought it would be at least a three person minimum."
"Oh no our Max is at least 9," he explains "the 7 of you is just fine."
"Alright thats great." Marie said.
"This way guys," He says walking us to a machine chamber " it takes roughly around an hour, and what's great you can lay down take a rest or just rest and do something on your phone."
"Ok, thank you." Marie says as he closes the giant door. The little square pod is cozy and just the right size for all of us the celling has tons of stars. "It's actually kinda nice in here." Marie thinks to herself
Axel and Janelle decided to take a nap the rest of us got out our phones. I ended up talking to Renee most of the time. After the hour ended he let us out I had actually felt really good. I had paid the man 114 dollars. Every one had left besides Axel he waited for me.
"Hey," he said "thanks for not killing me."
"Ha ha," Marie laughed sarcastically "you are very welcome."
Axel surprised her with a hug. Marie jumped back with shock, and then he pulled her closer and kissed her passionately. "What was that about?" She asked blushing.
"I love you and if just us have to find out what's going on here I'd die with you." He said.
They both drive to go eat dinner and head to Marie's house and bunker in for the night.
