Chapter 3: Trigger the Fever

I got tired of sitting around, in silence. I was constantly texting Jaemin, convincing him to hurry over.

Nana: soz m8, Jeno and I r boutta head to Renjun's

Me: u expect me to sit here for how long??

Nana: until u and mark make up

Me: god what do u people want from me

He didn't respond. He just left me on read. I couldn't sit there much longer. It was boring.

"What the hell Donghyuck?" Mark snarled when I pulled his earbuds out.

"Talk to me." I pouted.

"No" he growled before yanking his earbuds back.

"They're not going to come anytime soon."

"Listen," Mark looked away from me, "just stop trying to talk to me. Someone will come eventually."

"Dont do that." Mark whipped his head to look back at me.

"Do what?"

"That." Mark tilted his head in confusion. "Being angry. I don't like it. It doesn't suit you, so stop." I said that thinking I could save myself like in the kdramas but...

"Who are you to tell me what does and does not suit me. I don't care about your opinion." I groaned and rolled myself over to him.

"Mark." I said softly. He didn't look at me. "Mark." I pouted when he put his earbuds in again. "Fine." I grabbed one earbud

"What are you doing?"

"I want.. to listen." I mumble quietly. Mark was a taken aback. We continued to listen in silence.

"Can we just talk" Mark began to sing. I giggled at him.

"I like your voice." Mark eyes softened.

"Thank you" he quietly mumbled.

"There's no way you could think that." I shook my head, disappointed in Mark.

"He's obviously the best Spider-Man. I don't know what you're on Hyuck." I blushed at the nickname and looked down. "Finally admitting defeat?"

"Never. Tobey was high quality." I did an iconic chef kiss. "High quality." I repeated for emphasis.

"Damn you never give up." He chuckled before he attacked me one more time, "He didn't even act that well."

"Um excuse you. 'Pizza Time!' That line is the best. He is A+ actor." Mark giggled and I did as well.
