Anxiety destroys.
The mind fears failure,
Thus anxiety when faced with a task.
This anxiety leads to avoidance,
Avoidance leads to isolation. When fears come to fruition,
Anxiety grows like a cancer.
As anxiety grows,
Pain does too.As pain grows,
Solace is sought for,
But if one is rejected that solace,
That pain grows five times more.I have felt this anxiety,
A blade in my heart,
As failure and rejection come to me easily.I've cried endlessly in isolation,
No embrace to warm or comfort me,
No words of kindness to inspire me.
Just vocal and physical threats,
And another day left alone in silence. This is anxiety,
This is pain,
This is failure and rejection,
This is isolation,
This is frankly-
My adult life.
