a/n this was an assignment we had to write in my english class but i felt like i should upload it. thank you for reading :-)
Just as I was turning to see where the voice came from, I heard the door behind me slam shut! I ran to it and tried to push it open but, of course, it was locked. Now we had to go on; we could not turn back . . . . Chris and Megan called softly to me and I groped my way toward them in the dark. "I think we can still make it if we just stick together and don't panic," Megan cautioned. "Here, let's use my belt to keep us together. We can each hold onto part of it as we walk along and even if we can't see, we can at least know where ...." The belt flew out of my hands as Megan's voice fell away beneath us! I fumbled in the dark for a second and then said, "Darn it! Why didn't I think of this before? Right then and there I produced a torch out of my pocket, I tried switching it on. The torch would switch on but then the light slowly faded, ugh the battery is dead. I decided to move along in search of Megan, down the pitch black hallway. There were many doors in the hallway but then something started to pull me away, it felt extremely hairy eeeeewwww! I thought to myself. I grabbed my phone and turned on the torch so I could see what was dragging me away. I yelp, seeing a large monster. I sprinted away getting as far away from the monster as I could. I was running so fast, not looking where I was going and then I tripped and fell, I get up feeling a horrible pain shoot through my wrist and scream out in pain. 'Oh no, is it broken?' I mutter to myself. I was sure that it was broken, the pain was unbearable. I called out Megan's name but there was no reply, then I called out to Chris but there still wasn't a reply. I was alone in complete darkness with a swollen hand. I sit by a wall, searching in my pockets to find something to wrap my wrist with... there was nothing.
After about an hour of sulking in pain, I finally got up from the floor. I take a step, struggling to walk and finding it hard to breathe. I was gasping for air, like a fish out of water. I freeze, hearing someone manically laugh, silent giggles, soft footsteps, dripping noises.
Creak.
Creak.
Creak.
I stay stiff, not knowing what to do.
I see a masculine figure, its head tilted with very voluminous hair. It walks closer, closer and closer until I can see it-him, clearly but slightly shadowed. I stay completely still, absolutely shocked when I see his face, biting my tongue to hold back a loud scream. His mouth was cut open, almost as if he was grinning, white eyes with a little black pupil. He had snow white skin, practically matching his hoodie if it wasn't drenched in blood. I noticed something in his hands. A knife!
I bite on my tongue even harder, tasting the metallic blood seeping from it.
"Hi girly." The guy whispered in a monotone voice. His voice deep and raspy. He suddenly charged at me, stabbing my collarbone in the process. I scream until my lungs give out, the guy looked at me and started leaning in towards my ear. "My name is Jeff. Jeff the killer." He stares me in the eye and starts laughing loudly. He abruptly stops laughing and slowly holds up his dripping knife, I squeeze my eyes shut expecting to feel a jabbing pain somewhere in my body. I wait a few seconds and feel nothing. I open my eyes a little bit, peering through my eyelashes and see two figures on top of each other, fighting. I see Megan running towards me and grabs my wrist, I wince in pain. She realizes that I've been hurt and grabs my other wrist, dragging me to the end of the corridor, hearing footsteps behind us. Megan stops running and I look behind me, seeing Chris running to us. We run out a door that says 'EXIT' in bold glowing letters. We shut the door behind us. Chris and Megan grin widely embracing me in a tight hug, yet I feel no emotion. I start to laugh and giggle "hahahahaHHAHahhahHAhhaHA!" I feel my eye twitch, I grin as wide as my lips could stretch and my neck starts to tilt to the side. Chris and Megan let go of me and look at me, with fear in their eyes.
"She's gone." I gasp silently in a deep voice.
