"Terrel."
"Yes my dear, Maxine?"
"We can't continue this anymore."
"What? What do you mean? Do you want to go home na po?"
"No, Terrel. I'm breaking up with you."
"Why? May nagawa ba akong mali?"
"I just feel like we won't work."
"I can make it work, just give me time. I promise. Stay with me, Maxine."
"Good bye, Terrel."
And then she just left. We were just sitting down by the curb in front of the store where we first met. Ten seconds ago I had the love of my life sit beside me and drink Coke and now I find myself alone and don't know what to do. Ganito pala pakiramdam kapag iniwan ka. Shit, I didn't see that coming though. Hindi ko man lang alam kung anong dapat kong maramdaman. Great move Maxine. Now I have to start all over again.
So I finished my drink, stood up, threw my garbage (hopefully my feelings too), wept my tears, and headed home. It's 8pm, dapat na sigurong maghanda ako para sa school namin bukas, first day pa naman. Pero tulad nga ng sabi nila, the best time to write is when you feel something. I sat down on my chair in front of my table, brought out my laptop and waited. I just wanted a dash of inspiration but nothing comes out. I just kept thinking of her. My Maxine.
With nothing that comes out of my mind, I closed my laptop and slept on the table. This is where it begins.
