Chapter 73

"Brookey!!!!" Logan shouts.

Brooke laughs and runs to me then hides her face on my chest. "What did you do again?" I ask her.

"I lay down on Logan's back." Brooke giggles.

"Honey, you know your big brother is a moody one. We are at Nana's and don't do that again okay." I rub her back and kiss her head.

"Hey, I brought frozen yogurt and baby cupcakes." Mrs. Chang smiles at us.

"Say what? Thank you, nana." I smile at Brooke.

"Where is Logan?" Mrs. Chang asks me.

"Probably napping." I said to her.

"No, I'm awake. Thanks to Brooke who jumped on my back." Logan says and sits down next to me.

"You said that you laid down on his back." I raise my eyebrows at Brooke. "Don't do that again, it might hurt his back bone."

"Logan doesn't want to play with me." Brooke pouts.

"You can play with mommy." I smile at her. "Here, who wants frozen yogurt?"

"I'm still sleepy but I can't sleep." Logan leans his head on my shoulder.

"When is Mike's plane take off?" Mrs. Chang asks me.

"Tonight. I told him to take tomorrow's morning flight so he can take a rest first but he said he doesn't want to." I said to her and take the frozen yogurt cup.

I turn my face and both of my kids open their mouths. I sigh and feed them one by one. They never want to lose from one another. So most of the time, Mike and I buy two stuff at the same time even though they have age gap.

Now I'm in Mike's parents house. Yeah will have homecoming in McKinley soon. And I will start making short movie with Artie tomorrow. Meanwhile Mike is still having work in Los Angeles.

Suddenly my phone is ringing. I take the phone from the table and answer that. "Hi, daddy." I smile at Mike and answer his video call.

"Hey, I can't come there tonight." Mike sighs.

"Why?" I frown.

"I have to do this surgery since the other doctor can't handle it. So I will come tomorrow. Is that okay?"

"Yes it is okay." I nod.

"Hey, there baby girl." Mike smiles at Brooke. "Hey, big guy."

"Dad, buy me that big chocolate bar from the airport." Logan says to Mike.

"I will." Mike nods.

"I want two!" Brooke grins and shows him her two fingers.

"Okay, guys." Mike chuckles. "You guys having fun at Nana's?"

"Well, your mom is here. Want to talk to her or say hi?" I smile at Mike and hand the phone to his mom.

"Hello, Michael." Mrs. Chang smiles at him.

"Hey, mom. Do you want me to bring you something from Los Angeles?" Mike asks her.

"No. Having your little family here is enough. So you have to stay one more day?"

"Yeah. I really wish I could skip but this is about someone's life so... I'll see you tomorrow night." Mike chuckles.

"I'll see you too, Michael." Mrs. Chang smiles and give the phone to me.

"Alright, I'm off my break so I will call you guys later. Bye bye!" Mike says to me.

"Bye bye, daddy!" Brooke waves.
