"Nice to Meet You"

I sat in moxxi's bar. I noticed the older man from the picture Lilith gave me. I got up and walked over to him, my heart racing. 

"Hello," I said sitting across from him. 

"I'm busy." He said firmly. 

"I can see that." I said. "With what?" I asked. 

"People after me, bad people after me, I shouldn't even be here." He stated. 

"I like helping mysterious, attractive, older men." I said firmly. I shot him a wink. He let out a low chuckle. 

"You look young." He stated. 

"Not too young." I said seductively. He remained silent. I pouted and crossed my arms. "Look, I'm bored, I'm 19 and I just want something to spice up my life, and you're attractive, so we don't have to talk about what you're clearly running from, but come on let's talk, I love me an older man." I stated. 

"My name is Jack." He said. "Handsome Jack." He added. 

"Naomi, nice to meet you." I said holding out my hand for him to shake. He brought my hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss on my knuckles. I blushed slightly. 

 "Nice to meet you too sweetheart." He said. 

"So who are you hiding from?" I asked. I knew who he was hiding from, I worked for them. 

"The Crimson Raiders." He said. 

"What'd you do?" I asked. 

"Why do you assume I did anything?" He asked. 

"Well you have the raiders after you, so what did you do?" I asked. I genuinely wanted to know, Lilith didn't tell me anything about Jack or why she wanted him captured and/or dead. 

"The Raiders were selfish, I was building machines to harness the monsters these vaults released in to our world. So they couldn't hurt us, so they couldn't destroy us." He said simply. He pointed at his face. "Their leader, lilith is why I wear this mask, she punched a relic into my face. Now I have a scar that makes me a monster." He added. I was astonished, I was somewhat sure it was a lie, something to make me pity him. 

"I'm so sorry, so Handsome Jack isn't so handsome?" I asked. He shot me a dirty look. "It was a joke." I murmured. 

"So why would they be after you still?" I asked. 

"They know I'm still alive, they know that I still want to protect Pandora." He stated. I leaned back. 

"How do I know that you're not just bullshitting me to make yourself seem cooler?" I asked smirking. I knew that he was handsome Jack. I knew that The Crimson Raiders were after him but how do I know his story is true? 

"You don't, now I suggest you come back to my place and we have sex, or you go away." He said smirking at me. 

"Those are my only two options?" I asked. 

"It's not like you believe me and want to help me." He stated firmly. 

"I do." I shot right back with a smirk. "So say if I too wanted to help protect Pandora from these monsters what would you need me to do to prove that I do believe you, and that I do want to help you?"  I asked. He looked surprised. "Didn't think I would believe you?" I asked. 

"Not really no, but hey I could always use help." He stated. 

"Well, how can I help?" I asked. 

"I'll put a location into your echo device, meet me there tomorrow." He stated. I nodded. "So why do you believe me?" He asked. "Why would you go against the Raiders?" He wondered. 

"The Raiders killed my parents, I know they're evil, I know they're corrupt and selfish." I stated. I knew it was a lie but I had to bluff if I wanted him to trust me. He rested his hand on my shoulder to comfort me. 

"I'm so sorry for you loss, we'll get them together, I lost my daughter to them." He stated. I heard about Angel, her sacrifice of her life to stop him. 

"Thank you." I murmured softly.  He looked around before getting up. 

"I have to go but I'll stay in touch." He said. When I knew he was gone and wasn't coming back I called lilith. 

"I did it, I'm meeting him at a location tomorrow. He is really trying to frame the raiders as the bad guys." I stated. 

"You don't believe him do you?" Lilith asked. 

"No ma'am, he enslaved his own child, and tried destroying pandora and the moon." I said firmly. 

"Good girl. Next thing you know you'll be my right hand woman." She stated. I smiled. I was going to make it to the top.
