Wake up! You are our last hope!

You open your eyes. Everything is black.

It's not like the void. There is... a floor? Black as well.

You are lying on it.

"Where?..." 

"Oh, you woke up, didn't you?" Chara asked.

Where is she? You can't see her.

"Oh, I'm just inside your head. Well, more or less. You are the one inside your head, and I get to control it! Isn't it nice?"

What?...

"If I were you I would just go back to sleep, give up and wait for me to end all of this."

"End? What do you mean?" You were afraid of what she will answer.

"You know perfectly what I mean, (Y/N). I want to free them all from the future. Humanity. You have seen what they do. How they don't change, how they just hate because they don't have anything better to do." She has a point.

"But they want to see it, Chara, they think they will have a chance out there, why not let them? Besides,  you shouldn't choose for them. You don't know how humanity has changed since you fell. Monsters should be free to choose whether they want to go out to the surface or not. It's not fair that humans got to choose the ending of their fate. Don't you think?"

Chara remained silent.

She was silent for what seemed like hours.

You start to think she is not going to talk. 

You wait.

It's been a lot of time now.

You try to do something.

You walk, keep walking and keep walking. You don't find an end.

You give up walking and think of another thing.

Let's see, if I'm trapped inside my mind, I can imagine things, right?

...Yeah, no. It doesn't work. 

You focus. You are not sure on what, but you focus on it.

Something is appearing in front of you.

It looks... Like a screen. Is this...?

You focus harder, you can see... Hotland. 

The screen... 

"STOP!" You cry out. Chara was about to fight the guards.

You focus on your body.

After a while of focusing you start to feel Chara's movements as your own. You try to fight back.

Nothing happened.

Chara starts to fight the guards.

You focus more.

You feel your hand grabbing something metallic.

Chara steps closer to the guards. You feel yourself smiling.

At this point, it's hard to focus harder.

You take a deep breath. 

Chara rises your hand with the knife.

You... You fight back. You refuse to kill them.

Not with you here. Not if you can avoid it.

Just when Chara starts forcing the knife down, you take control.
